Headed over today, I think the word state is on point for the log flume, looks like it has a bad case of tin worm and they have been knocking all the loose off as there's lumps of rust everywhere , scaffolding all still up and lots of track around the tower missing, drop tower also still sitting at half height. The pb itself much the same, disko doesn't actually look that much better, the frame has been sprayed but looked about it, rode the snails (obviously - who cares if I'm 28 ;)) that's been filled with new scenery on the outside sections, waltzer and twister down the bottom very quiet, no other changes I could see.
Walked through today as was bored and fed up...very windy and actually quite cold.
Sky drop closed.
Family Star closed due to the wind apparently - first time I've got up close to it - what a mess. Needs painting bad.
Evolution - again badly needs painting - looks filthy
Log flume was virtually all back together ( yet still closed ) and you could see the work that has been done - again what a mess needs tarting up and the control booth is green with mould - the whole attraction is just a eyesore.

One car full on big wheel going round.
Wristband is £21 for 2016. We didn't have any intention on going on anything we were just killing time.

visited yesterday, flume running, as was sky drop, infact everything was open except the waltzers but it was being worked on, not very busy at all in the park, most rides without ques at all, have to say it really is looking a dump now!
all the work on the flume may have got it running again, but its still a mess with plenty of rust visible, and the re-paint of the externals of the roller coaster look good, but from riding you can see the mess in all of the usually hidden areas.
bottom end of the park is the usual dumping ground, and still no signs of "the edge"
the kids drop tower and whirlwind do look good so glad they got something brand new, but the rest of the rides, and park itself, now look tatty, there are a few exceptions but not many
Also I may be wrong but I don't ever remember the dodgems being £3 a go!
Great Yarmouth's "Dream Dancer" R.J. Lakin Waltzer is on its way to Dreamland Margate. This machine has a long history behind it, so should be a good acquisition for them.

They've also announced on Facebook that they're getting a Flying Elephants ride....wtf....lol
Why are they selling sold family rides like Evolution and Waltzers and buying brand new kids stuff? Makes no sense for a small seaside park to aimed solely at kids.... there isn't a single thrill ride at GYPB now...
It's a bit pointless and Joyland is only down the road, and it wasn't long ago they did all that work on the log flume, pity i thought it was a decent flume ride.

Have they still got Disco? Hopefully they aren't going to go down hill, the additions the last few years have been all right to be honest. That SBF spinning coaster thing might look boring but there where kids all over it all day when I was there last summer. I also seem to recall evolution being down all day (this was in June)...
As Martyn said this is the new ride for 2017 at the Pleasure Beach! The good thing I suppose is Albert in continually investing into his park with new rides. Plus its a better one that PWH.

Ooh seems interesting, nice to see the park doing work and investing these past few years. With the Fun house having a face lift was it last season or the one before? Then this year there re-doing the interior of the Ghost train and other rides seem to be receiving a lick of paint.
