RE: Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach

£70 seems expensive to me, I haven't up there for so long I dunno what they've got theses days.

Drove past today, the rollercoaster has had a near on total repaint, evolution seems to have gone and in its place it looked like the disko track but it wasn't...something new perhaps ? also still nothing started on the edge project

Smoking whilst on duty? Ride ops? That's mental.

Looked at the 2014 leaflet today.. no mention of the edge unless it is in the small print and no mention of any new attractions for 2014

I think the new film thing comes as a part of the package when you buy the actual attraction. Paultons seem to get a movie when GYPB do, and they have the same films.

Just had a brief look at their website, and on the prices page, it states that the Log Flume is 'temporarily unavailable due to maintenance'. Something doesn't seem right to me, why put that on the prices page? This GYPB, they dont care about being informative, if a ride's closed, they'll tell you at the park, not on the prices page of the website...

Also, remeber that news article a couple of years back, on The Edge? It mentioned the new coaster AND that the Log Flume would be removed in a couple of years to make way for an indoor entertainment complex....!

Premier inn permission was granted at least three years back,,,,it has finally started just by the roundabout at the acle straight opp asda and by the allotments...

Frankie and bennys and a new marstons pub ( Lowie has one now called spring tide ) will open on the left as you drive into Tesco extra on Pasteur way

Why do all these big name outlets open up outside of the town? I guess it's good that it's expanding, but they could do with some new stuff in the actual town itself.

Because of parking.....

same reason why co-op in yarmouth is still empty - no where free for people to park and it has no escalators

Log Flume isn't being removed (just yet), they're replacing the small drop.

Went today with my little girl and went on a couple of rides with her, bizarrely she wouldn't go on the Teacups or Ponies (she's 3) but happily went on the Haunted Hotel and loved it!!

The log flume still SBNO, it doesn't look like much is going on with it, it does need a good refurb though as it looks pretty bad. Is it definitely gonna return?

When I went in April it was missing the small drop and there were new troughs lying around, so I presumed they were carrying on with their plan of replacing it all.

Sky drop always stays up, it's a permanent structure.

You may be right. But I know the tower is one piece and is bolted into the ground.
