Not Pleasurewood i know, but Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach have a new 4D Cinema experience for 2010. Should be opening in June/July. Not really what that park needs IMO, but something new in this part of world anyhow.

I remember the good old days of Pleasurewood Hills - one year it was so busy trying to get into the park (I think it was back in the pay per car days) that we actually weren't able to get into the park!
We ended up going to Great Yarmouth PB and actually had a great day. My parents bought me and my brothers wrist bands that enabled unlimited rides on everything and we rode the log flume over and over - the rides ops just lets us stay on. There was a looping coaster there at the time (first one I had ever seen) but I was too scared to go on it.
The Roller Coaster there I remember being really great fun and it seemed like there was loads to do (well for a boy of about 8 years old it seemed like it) but now when I look at what GYPB has to offer it doesn't really entice me.
I may have to check it out this year and see what it's like but £18 seems really expensive.
The Pleasure Beach was a good Park in the late 80s early 90s. They still have a few good rides but it has lost a bit of its atmosphere. Aerial ride, i would epect to see someting likje another wheel or booster. Hope to go on the 9th April and will visit Hensby and also Yarmouths Easter fair, (well week after Easter Fair).
^ Meh, besides the Big Apple Coaster, what else would we want to see at Pleasurewood? Maybe the Sky Drop and Disk'O, at a push! But everything else is crap.

That would be the Pinfari Looper. Seemed MASSIVE to me back then, but now they're tiny!

Also appeared in Madness video House Of Fun along with the rollercoaster there :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QnBccG_ChI

In The House of Fun Video, Maddness were rideing the old super loops coaster which last stood where the Disco is. The Pinfari coaster was not instaled untill 92/93.

do you know if there are any sites showing this Pinfari coaster ?
i can only ever remember the super looper being there :)
I never knew GYPB had one them LOOP ride thingys. Also, thats not the same fun house building is it? Didn't look like it to me.
If you pause that clip on 2:50, you can see that the Super Looper isn't where the DiskO currently is. It looks like you can see the old Water Chute in the back ground, but if that is right, you should be able to see Rollercoaster too? I'm confused!
And what a great video showing the old rides. I almost feel sick from the nostalgia! I can still close my eye's and picture BAD, Condor and the Water Chute (which I have a pic of somewhere)! Terminator was another classic too. The place is a dump now compared to back then

When House Of Fun was shoot, the superloopers were at the back of the Park,> they were moved to the front a couple of season before thery were removed and a skyfly was in placwe for 2 seasons. I was told in good faith that the Yarmouth wheel was being used by a well know traveling fair operator and it would not be returning?? The ride line in the 80s /early 90s was indeed better than tto-days, which could also be said for Pleasurewood
Perhaps my memory is jolted, I did have little sleep that day aha. So you may well be correct. It looks far too large to travel on trailers. I'm hazarding a guess of at least 3 to 4 loads. I know Harry Ayre's KMG Move It 32 (one of the largest traveling rides in the UK) is built up on 3 trailers.
i was looking around and i found the exact same log flume as the on at great yarmouth but it is a lot better. this is called colorado river at djurs sommerland in denmark
Went to GYPB yesterday, it was a glorious day. We went on the Roller Coaster which was not that bad for an antique. We also rode Evolution which isn't that great tbh.
Place looks a little worn, although it was a nice busy atmosphere and people seemed to be enjoying themselves. Is the 4D cinema going to be a portable model?
