Crealy in Devon has Crealy Meadows which is a site with ready made accommodation but I think also room for pitching a tent. It's actually a lovely idea; I'd like to pitch a tent after a day at Pleasurewood Hills it would be novel.
The best way for a camp site would be on the grass as you enter, I feel it would be a bit dodgy having someone sleeping in the theme park, this way you know the site is relatively secure.
^ it's a good point but makes a long walk to reach anything. The idea is to offer something different and just a ordinary patch of grass, other wise there wouldn't be much interest.

Back in 'ta day we used to have the meadow in front of the park which offered camping and caravans. This tap used to provide the only available water to that area:
The local license only allows the park to open to 7:00pm at the latest (including the time for everyone to leave the park) - So unfortunatly; no late night rides, no late night bars or resturants and no late night stay overs. True Story.
What would be the scope for the license being extended for temporary periods of the year... Maybe allowing 8pm closes at Halloween or a week or two of 7 in the summer? I mean, it may not be something needed at all but I just wondered.
We've tried. The only extended license's we are able to get are to sell alcohol (for use in the Palladium) which are applied for and granted on a one-by-one basis.
The park used to be open until 7pm during the summer in seasons gone by so potentially it could happen. Financially, would the park gain anything from the extra hour though?
If you've been their since opening by about 6 I think people are ready to go home anyway. Would be nice if on special occasions longer sessions were allowed.

That was an experement done for two seasons for two weeks each season mid to late 90s was it a LGB thing ? or a Hadden thing ? Guessing it didnt do much cop. Halloween half term finishes late again this year like it did last so the rides will be in the dark better than the 2010+11 season were. ( 2012 finally saw the rides being open until around 5.45pm insetad of closing at 4pm-4.30pm with people just milling around.
Well that sucks... Nothing like a local council to limit growth, ambition, employment and tourism hey?
I dunno, I'd say the local council has been pretty good to PWH recently; granting permission for the 200ft tower, granting permission for Wipeout despite a LOT of opposition, then removing some restrictions on Wipeout, and granting the park a Lawful Developement Order (enabling the park to build any ride upto 25m tall without the need for planning permission).
This wouldn't be high up on the priority list, but I would like to see them replace the exsiting play area/s with better ones, similar to what you can find in parks over Europe (and similar to the Fort Fun play area.
Banham Zoo has a really nice play area:
And these things seem to be mega popular over in Europe:
haha that's good, I was told it was it's last season, last time I was there. It was next to the SITG last time I saw it. At least it's got a decent home again.
Space net was cool!!!!

Space net, beam your voice, hillbilly moonshine and many more side attractions that helped fill the park out were sadly removed but lets hope and as ben said maybe we can get some of these back to fill in some painfully bare areas. Is the gun game hillbilly still there before go karts or not ??
