I would love to see a drop tower again at the park. I did not visit during the years in which they had one but I would love to see a more permanent one installed like an Intamin one for instance.
After all they market themselves as "Pleasurewood Thrills" yet have very little in terms of thrills so a drop tower would be welcome in my opinion.
I agree- does anyone else think that something like Samurai at Thorpe Park would fit in well at the park if it was given the same attention as Wipeout was?
I think it needs a "real" thrill ride along with Wipeout.
2012 Timber Falls given mild theming Samuari ( okay guys, I know it could/ wont EVER happen!)
Timber Falls already has mild theming. As it stands Timber Falls looks good but I would love to see some of the temporary fair ground rides removed and replaced with permanent theme park attractions. One that must go is Thunderstruck as it is truly dire.
Ok, I'll copy and paste it in this topic if you're too lazy to read it in the other topic!
This is a sensible little list I've come up with of attractions etc that I'd like to see at Pleasurewood.
I have posted this on other sites, so may have seen some of it before, but this one is different.
Firstly, a kind of major re-haul of the quiet end of the park:
- Intamin Gyro Swing (Maelstrom, Drayton) on the patch where the Hungry Bears pavillion used to be. They're fantastic rides and it would fill the long walk to the back of the park. (Not a travelling one.)
- Fabbri Rapids. They're the ones that travel with Mellors and the ones that Ligh****er are getting. I'd put them in the area where the Dinosaur walk through used to be, in the corner next to the Rattlesnake. They normally look nasty and tacky, but the one at West Midlands Safari Park is themed, and looks 100 tiems better, so I'd like a themed one.
Travelling version, that looks incredibly tacky.
(The only picture I could find of the WMSP themed version)
- Remove the AWFUL Dodgems and put a nice new Ferris Wheel there, like Chessingtons or Light Water Valleys
And lastly (for that area) a new food outlet, a larger one with large, outdoor, covered, seating area. Like they used to have at Alton, outside where Hex is.
All them ideas are feasable, and I believe woud do wonders for that area of the park.
Also:
- Spinning Coaster. On the scale of Whirlwind (Camelot). To be placed where the Waveswinger currently is, oh and scrap that because it is awful.
This isn't the Whirlind from Camelot, but it is exactly the same.
- Replace Fireball (Whizzy Dizzy (no need for it with Gyro Swing) and replace it with an S&S Space Shot (Pleasure Island). Planning shouldn't be an issue as the old "Eye on the Coast" observation Tower used to sit there, and they don't cost much either. Would like it to be a bit taller than PI's though, as that is bloody tiny!
- Replace Thunderstruck with a Mondial Topscan (Samurai, Thorpe Park), not a portable one!
- Spend money on sorting Engima out so it can run more than one train, oh and obviously somehow try and get the other trains back. Its a great little coaster and I'd like to see it being used properly.
- A nice large, traditional Waveswinger to be placed opposite Wipeout (behind Parrot building)
- And lastly, possibly a Euro-Fighter? On the scale of Spongebob, to sit where the old 3D Cinema used to be.
Spongebob Square pants Rock Bottom Plunge!
Now please do start shooting me down, I haven't just randomly pulled some names out of a hat, I've thought long and hard about it, and I believe all them rides are perfectly feasable for Pleasurewood, and wouldn't just be great additions, some of them would be perfect additions, especially the one I mentioned first, down the quiet end of the park.
I agreed with you the first time and will again. I love your ideas and each one of them would fit very well at a theme park like Pleasurewood Hills. I honestly think that a Eurofighter is a great way to go for the park. I have only ever ridden Saw but I really really like it and a small version like SBSP woud suit the park very well.
Lol, it was a while ago I came up with them idea's, and they have slightly changed a bit, I'll post my 'upgraded' idea's when I have the time. Probably over the weekend.
i think a euro fighter would be great they are fun and cheap. (Although mabey to cheap cos when i qued up for rage i noticed the loop sung quite vigorously from side to side.) oh speaking of adventure island i think pwh should get in touch with ride manufacturer sarner they did the new alton monorail trains, over the hill and vallhalla
I think PWH needs to add more 'static' rides instead of the travelling one... I'm sure they are convinient but it makes the park look more like a fair ground (and very tacky) instead of a theme park. Does anyone agree?
Also better theming and landscaping around the whole park is a must, glad to see it's happening now! :)

Oh I definitely agree, and I think the park have noticed this problem too. Thats why since CdA took over in 2005, the temporary rides have stopped flooding in, and they've tried their best to cover up the 'temporary' look of the travelling rides.
You mean you're withholding info from your fellow Unofficial Pleasurewood-ers Hobo!? That's got to be an offence worthy of a ban from the board, surely!
Yes, My mum worked on the enterprise and absolutely loved it! It'd be a real selling point as there aren't many enterprises left anymore. I think it'd also fill the thrill ride section up a bit more.. as for us teens there isn't an awful lot! P.s there is an enterprise for sale :)

Snake and Tales of the coast seem to need some attention. Hopefuly sooner than later. But Snakes end of the park seriously needs cleaning up. There is two empty plots that could be use, one near the picnic site and the other near the chairlift.
Bring back the Enterprise (Dam you Alton Towers) this was my absoulite fav when PHW had it.

I was thinking about the large plot of land next the Snake (old Dino bit) I doubt you can get much of a ride there as it very close to residential aria, so why not fill that was a large children's play ground?, then the current play ground (old mini golf) could be home to new ride (Enterprise. Enterprise, Enterprise. !!!! ) Noise shouldn't be a huge issue there, and planning permission should be ok as they've already got plenty of rides in that section.
In my mind it's making the most of what they've got, and no part of the park should be wasted, having a quiet section were there is no way you're gonna get permissions for anything seems to an realistic solution. No sure how popular the kids playground is but it's always worth having.
Also, didn't there used to be a 4th show, a theater on the main street?? is that used for anything?
And finally, what's the point in having an arcade? Therese days people go out to get away from 'video games' Maybe that could be the new home for the Storybook attraction but make it a simple walk around, wouldn't need to lay track and low on maintenance makes a nice little 'extra' (much like the mini fairground they used to have)
Theses I think are good improvements and ones that wouldn't cost a fortune.

I feel that the park should be getting new rides in, not replacing rides which have already been in the park, more unique rides like TTT should be used IMO.
I agree somewhat with the arcade comment. I myself steer clear of arcade machines at any theme park. It kinda reminds me of being at a tacky seaside like Felixstowe! However, arcades do make money so if it is getting used then it would make business sense to keep it. I don't like them myself, especially the one at PWH; it's fairly horrible inside.
That show was in the Palladium which is now a conference facility.
I think removing the mini golf was a bad idea myself. Maybe they could reintroduce a nicely themed adventure golf at some point.
The Palladium should be home to a new cinema 180 :D But any play aria/mini golf should use up and land that's so close to peoples homes. Are the arcades in the park still popular? I love a classic arcade but I don't see it as something a theme park would need, as a sea side town we have plenty lol.

I'd like to see them get a proper kids playground, like what most parks in Europe have, they're really awsome, and even good fun for adults. The current playgrounds look really cheap. Especially the one in between Jolly and Timber Falls, it looks like it came from Argos!
