Long range advertising?

Remember I got the 2009 brochure from the Cambridge services earlier in the year, which you could say is long range advertising, but was still in East Anglia, but....

I'm up my caravan in Skegness this weekend, and we went to the Morrisons supermarket last night, and I was pretty shocked to see a Pleasurewood poster (the new design "Pleasurewood Thrills") at the bottom of this advertising board at the entrance to the supermarket.

It could be that Pleasurewood have some sort of contract with Morrisons, orĀ  they're just expanding their range of visits they want to attract.

Skeggy must at least be about 150 miles from Pleasurewood, in Lincolnshire, East Midlands, a completely different part of the Country!

I would imagine they are targetting the holiday or day trip market by advertising in a town like Skegness. What with the Butlins there I would've thought that they would be aiming for holiday makers to make the 150 mile trek for a day out at PH.

I disagree with that. There are too many amusment parks in and around Skegness (Bottons, Dunes, Pleasure Island, Butlins & Fantasy Island) for people to then want to travel 150 miles to Pleasurewood. And whils its not too far for me, a 300mile round trip is probably too far eespecially if there are children.

I would imagine they are targetting the holiday or day trip market by advertising in a town like Skegness.

That could be true, alot of people from East Anglia holiday in Skeg, yet a hell of alot more from the Midlands do, so they could be trying to point out other holiday destinations.
