Great news! I have been checking on PH.com every day for ages waiting for this to come online (sad I know!). It looks fantastic, a real eye pleaser! Noticed an error for example:

"I went on with my mate but it made him feel ill but I was alright and have been on it 27 times since it changed its name from fireball!"

This was a quote under the review for Thunderstruck which is surely a review for Wizzy Dizzy!?

The ride sections are great too including some ride photography and user comments which is cool!  The whole thing is just really neat and tidy and is far more professional than the old site.  They still have Mellow Yellow photos on there but I can see these being updated as soon as Timber Falls is done.

I also noticed they have changed the map. It's a little bit over crowded with the pictures of each ride but it is a major improvement and they have changed the perspective of the park on it too which makes a difference.

I have also noticed that the Chair Lift is back to being call "Chair Lift" according to the map.  Thank god for that!

All in all a vast improvement on the old site. Good to see!

Yes I too love it.

Though, anyone notice that for the first time ever, the park map is of a different angle of the park!

Much much better though. A massive improvement. Very professionally done. Thumbs up all round from me.

All we need now is a nice new ride for next year!

Sorry to double post.

I'm getting good a predicting things, when I stumbled across the new brochure design, I mentioned:

Now then, previously, their brochures and website have shared the same style/design, and this is a completly new design, so my guess would be that they're new website will look like this.

Then we got one!

Then I said;

Just need a nice new park map now, I'm not a fan of the current one!

And we got one!

Anyway, whilst I do prefer the new map to the previous one, does anyone else agree that it makes the park seem really bare and empty? Even the old map which just a mess made the park seem full with much more to do.

Anyone else also find it odd how for the first time the map is showing the park sideways?

I do quite like the new map, I must admit. Though I can't see the bottom section of it, the part of the map with Snake in the Grass on it is not loading for me. Is that the case for everyone else?

Yeah, same with me on that part of the map.

One glitch on the map... erm... why isn't SITG on there?

It's just a missing file on the website. It cuts off the bottom section.

That bottom section doesn't load for me either.

They've fixed the map, you can see the bottom now.

The website is going to continue to be updated throughout this year.

Thanks for your comments regarding the website.  Its up and running and through the season we will be updating images, adding video and upgrading the booking system so there is quite a bit to do.

That's good news.  It's a great website at the moment but I think videos will be a nice touch!

I like it when park websites have a 'lastest news' section. Its as if its there for all us fans!

Its obvious that Pleasurewood have added the comments on the ride pages, yeah? But they keep making mistakes. Enigma is in the Thrill rides section, yet the comments start with "A great family ride"...?

We all know Enigma is in that section, as well as Timber Falls, just to make up the numbers as there's not really any thrill rides at PWH, apart from Wipeout & Fireball. So surely the park must think to them selves "Hmmm, we could do with a new thrill ride?"

Grrr!

"The summer season for Pleasurewood Hills blasted off to an exciting start with the launch of their new website and to date it has achieved in excess of 53,000 visitors.

Kiss Online Marketing were delighted to be appointed to develop the new website following on from our ongoing successful relationship with Pleasurewood Hills. And with such excellent visitor numbers, it’s a truly magnificent start for the new website which uses our innovative SimplicityCMS system.

Ever since the launch the team at PWH have been busy updating their site content with all the news and events going on at the park. The site includes full details and user reviews of all rides and shows and as the CMS is fully expandable, items such as video streaming of rides will be added in the future.

An online booking system has also been integrated into the new site, with full listings of prices to ensure customer ticket sales are managed quickly and easily."

The website is looking a bit of a mess at the moment. For some reason they have 2 sets of Opening times pages, one for 2009, and one for 2010.

And the on the 2009 page, they've tried to add a nice little thouch, but failed. "Woody says were closed...." How bad is that grammar? Whats wrong with "Hi kids, we're closed now, look forward to seeing you in 2010".

Also, on the 2010 opening times page, "Wood says to book online...". Sounds like desperation to me, and its not that hard to spell Woody, is it? I dont like seeing these "woody says.." all over the website, its as if its aimed at toddlers.

It certainly has been quiet of recent Patrick.  Not a lot to report or discuss really cry

Thanks for pointing that out, the site is still dressed up for Halloween which is just silly.   It would actually take just two seconds to revert it back to the normal one!

Maybe they're keeping up for advertising puposes?

Unfortunetly at this time of year there wont be much to talk about, unless someone can find the time to go to the park on a weekday and get some pics! or find that area where Matt took some pics last winter (round the back by the golf club).

I did drive past the golf club entrance a few days ago and pulled into the lay-by there for a look, but couldn't see anything to report as yet...

Anyone else noticed the major lack of rides mentioned on the website? There's the 'thrill' section with about 5 rides, and the 'family' section with about 5 rides, but thats it.

The old website had a 'kiddies' section with all the smaller rides listed, but the current website shows the park only has about 10 attractions!

Wipeout - 5
Wizzy Dizzy - 5
Enigma - 4
Le Mans - 4
Timber Falls - 4
Wavebreaker - 4
Pirate Ship - 4
Rattelesnake - 3
Thunderstruck - 3
Kite Flyer - 2
Chair Swinger - 2
Balloon Rays - 2
Tales Of The Coast - 1

Wipeout and Fireball are the only proper 'thrill rides' the park has, they deserve a 5, everything else deserves a 3.

Hey just went on the new web and I think that the rides under "thrill rides" should be ranked as follows

wipeout-5
enigma-4
wizzy dizzy-4
timber falls-3
thunderstruck-2
instead of their scores of
wipeout-5
enigma-5
wizzy dizzy-5
timber falls-4
thunderstruck-5 (errrrrrr no)
