Personally I feel sorry for Adam. I didn't work there long but it was clear Looping gave zero ****s about investment. You can only make silk purses from sows ears for so long.

Cameron, it's a theme park, not a football club!

I don't know how I feel about this tbh. Ride wise, he didn't do much, but the park did improve a lot with him in charge. Rise music, fresh paint, new restaurant, show and play area etc. I felt the park has really been heading in the right direction recently, it just needs the odd extra ride or 4. The park now has an atmosphere, and it's been a very busy summer, and visitor numbers will be the highest this year for many years, I bet.

He wasn’t the most professional when it came to Trip Advisor responses. However agree with Martyn’s comments.

That's a surprised, was he sacked?
Maybe they need to think outside the box, than hire another 'sit down' type manager, who's just doing the bare min so survive and has no real interest in the job.. they need someone who wants it and who enjoys working at a place like that, they need to realise it's a Theme Park not a Hotel. So hopefully they can find someone with some charisma.

Anyway, Good opportunity for one of you guys!!! go for it.

Who's to say Adam isn't there anymore anyway? It could be that he's handed his notice in? Or his contract was only until the end of this season.

How often to park manager's even last in their job? It's not a very well documented position, and other than reading on here about PWH, I couldn't say I've ever heard anything from other parks regarding their general managers.

But that advert is pretty drab, this is running a theme park, not a boring office job.

Well you say he didn't do much ride wise.. but maybe his hands were tied? He can't spend money he hasn't been allocated, he can't just do whatever he liked. Maybe he left because he was so restricted, or maybe he was fired because they didn't like what he spend the money one.. i really don't know how things like this work.

The park is almost stagnated.

I would imagine any money spent has to be run by the big bosses first. Money has been spent in the park this year, and they've done a good job with what's new. But the gardening side of things needs improving, and obviously the derelict rides needs addressing too.

Agree Coolskin. The GM looks after staff, make sure park is up and running and making money. They have no say in what is spent. They can ask but that is it. The owners have every say. The park has always been micro managed by Looping. It is currently on it's knees. It would need major investment to get it back up to scratch. You're talking at least a million to start with.

A million isn't a massive ask really. Hobs Pit cost £700,000, and I can't imagine Marble Madness was much less. Same for Jolly Roger.

I just don't understand what's going on with the dead rides. Why haven't Loopings either asked wtf is going on, or why haven't they approved their removal.

perhaps but at the very least  store it all in one area and cover it up so it doesn't look such a eyesore. Leaving the middle part of TTT on full view for all to see just looks stupid, it should have been taken out and the fence removed too - it may leave another bare patch of land but it would look better than it does now

They obviously have plans to replace TTT so I don't blame then for leaving the fence up.

Heck, even leaving the rest of the ride sat there wouldn't be so bad if they just made a nice new sign saying "new ride coming soon". That way it shows intent, and changes the whole image of an old ride just sat there half removed.

The park is all about new signs at the moment too, so I'm really surprised they haven't thought to do that.

I heard it from the horses mouth and from a few other sources that there were plans to bring in another ride for this year. That obvs didn't happen but it still shows that they were planning on getting it replaced.

I'm sure with the great weather we had this year that there will be something new next year.

Adam done some good things for the park, but also made the park take a big back- step with all the bad things that happened, if the park is going to have another year it will need big time cleaning the place up and one or more new rides and bring back places for families to sit down for a relaxing tea and coffee.
