Rattlesnake to be reopened?
Permalink Closed

The train is said to be getting sold on for parts or spares, and the front is being kept and put on display in the park.

You're right about the track though, Parc Asterix and Plopsland de Panne have both retracted their Tivoli coasters due to it wearing thin. It's just a shame they PWH didn't decide to do the same.

Do you mind me asking where you got the information about the train getting sold on for spares/repairs from?

If I'm honest, I can't actually remember. Think it may have been from the park themselves.

it will remain boarded up next year unless removed over winter which I doubt and there are no plans to replace it anytime soon. At best new for 2018 will be new show, restaurant and possible TT replacement

Ugh. We don't need any more restaurants!

The park already has 2 shows and street entertainment!

Its a theme park, we need RIDES

With the Pizza place i think there are enough food outlets now.
But yes it's a Theme park not a Ride park.. which is why it has other themes of attractions and entertainment, it's great the theater is being used again for shows, as it should be.

Certainly getting short on rides, they've lost a few and haven't really replaced them (Snake, TTT, TOTC) so fingers crossed something or somethings are looming.

They might be wide to not do that though. Why promote it when you have to pay for it on top of having to pay to get in? New restaurant won't bring guests back. They're getting enough stick due to the amount of rides closing, they ought to be careful with promoting a new restaurant.

If PWH surprises us all and adds 3 new rides next year, then yeah, they can stick on the end "and a new restaurant too.

I agree with Bubbles, the theatre and shows all add up nicely but with the number of rides closing opening a new restaurant doesn't really make the cut.

Heck, they might as well have more bumper cars! excited

Well all they've gone is replace one restaurant with another.. so they haven't gained for lost anything.

They removed sky hooks and we got a proper waveswinger so that was good.
But with the sake and TTT breaking down and demolished and the random removal of TOTC the park certain feels there's a lot missing. A single flat ride and a new show doesn't really make up for it.

Does anyone know if fireball has even recovered to being adequate after the Ohio state fair incident? And what about that balloon ride that was down near rattlesnake? I don't think I even saw it open at all this year.

The Balloon ride has been open, as has Fireball.

What does TOTC stand for?

They were very good reopening Fireball. They had all sorts of tests done and even live streamed a video of PWH engineers on the ride.

I knew that fireball had reopened but it was running awfully last time I was on it (post the fair incident, and other people I know reported the same thing). There was barely no airtime, laterals or positive G's to speak of.

It hasn't been consistently good for the past few years but after the fair incident it was garbage.

No, it's definitely not performing at its best. Like you said, after the accident, I bet the had to tone it down just in case.

Its a shame though really, used to be great

I got had a night ride that lasted about 20 minutes on it at PW chills in 2015. The op was running it for a cycle, then lowering it so it was barely swinging to ask if anyone felt ill and needed to get off. It was so good that it felt a lot like eagles claw. I wish they could have kept it like that...

In my opinion it will be the Magic Mouse or Enterprise.
They had time to save the Rattlesnake Coaster but decided not to.

no chance of a mouse back not anytime soon, enterprise has been around a few times as a suggestion and the tempest. I suspect we will see the rattle back as most of it was left intact

They already have a magic mouse so wont be getting another.
The Ladybird is coming back... a return of a classic and new for 2019.
I really hope it's ladybird themed.. lets go retro.

The Rattlesnake returns for 2019

Let's try and keep all things for the Rattlesnake in here, so we can keep the topic free for other 2019 bits.

Oh, I've just remembered that comment that was soon deleted on the Maniacs page a few weeks ago, saying that:

- Rattlesnake would return
- Balloons getting a refurb (becoming eggs)
- bottom end of park to have s farm year theme

So the first two ended up being true (well we've seen the balloons getting refurbed anyway), so it looks like the Snake will be farm yard themed....
