I had nothing to do today so I decided to spend the day at PWH. We arrived at about 10.45 and headed straight for enigma before the queue built up. It's still in the middle of it's repaint so parts of the track where and weren't painted. Anyway, after 10 minutes we where on. I have to say that it seems to be running very well. It felt smoother and more forceful than I remember if I'm right it looks like the train has a new set of wheels.
Jolly Roger was walk on like usual so we had a quick few rides. It is definitely better than detonator, a lot more forceful. Wipeout was next on the agenda. It had no queue and we sat towards the back. After waiting a minuite for the train to fill we where off... about 10 feet up the lift before the brakes jammed. The maintenance crew appeared within a few minutes, reset the brakes and sent us on our way. It was very good as usual, a bit rough in the cobra roll but fine otherwise. There was no queue when the ride finished so we had another go.
We headed down the other side of the park to do fireball. We had three rides. The first two where all right but the third was outstanding. The airtime was great, the forces where great and it was swinging at full height.
At this point my freind decided to abandon me and go home. I walked to the cable car and went to the other side of the park. While there I did hobs pit. It was good as usual, but I do have some niggles. Firstly, decreasing the side of it's building does, in it's current state anyway take away from the aptmosphere that's created by the ride. Having a themed ride entrance and building then having a plain white building next to it doesnt fit right. Secondly, a lot of the actors that used to be at various points in the ride aren't there anymore. Yes, the acting is good but there just arent enough of them, just one at the start and the two in the station where you get on the mine cart. I don't know if it was just because it was quiet but again, I felt it really took away from the aptmosphere. On a better note, closing off the queue area has made the ride better. If it gets finished properly with sound and lighting ambience it could do wonders. I then did marble madness. It was absolutely dead so I had to wait for two people to get in the train with me. It is a good family ride and it's got some enjoyable floater airtime over the hills. PWH had a very good deal with it. I just miss it at flamingoland now they've gone and put in that zamperla piece of crap.
To pass a bit of time I did hyperdrive. What a pitiful excuse for a ride... for God's sake, they only had 5 cars running! While in the vicinity I also took a look at the new landscaping around the centre of the park. It looks really good as it is and should look even better when all of the plants grow in a bit more.
After doing veteren cars it was about time for the sea lion show. It's a good little show and they included the new sea lion and seal (forgot their names) as well as Claude. It perfectly mixes the tricks and displays with facts. Following a quick lunch I got the cable car back down to the other side of the park. It then hail stoned just and I couldn't do anything.
I headed back over to wipeout, doing fireball in the process then did Jolly Roger again. Enigma was on a bit of a queue (about 15 minutes give or take) so I gave it a miss. By now it was nearly 4 o'clock so I had one last ride on wipeout. It still had no queue and I sat in the back row. The ride started as normal, got three quarters of the way up the first lift... and got stuck!
Unfortunately we didn't get evacuated, so no free lift hill walk. The maintenance people where very quick to inform everyone what was going on and what was going to happen. We where offered blankets and asked if we where ok and after about 5 minuites we where told the ride had been reset and we would go on as usual. After the ride everyone gave their name and contact details.
It was a real eye opener, I can now see just how terrifying being stuck on a ride is and why it is important enough to make it into the news... I wouldn't be surprised if it does end up in the news either since about 20 people filmed it.
The last ride of the day was tide traveller and it was awful. It didn't lift or even spin. Those poor parrots as well, having to put up with the noise of a Huss motor all day...
Overall I did have a good day (despite being stuck twice and abandoned), but I don't think I'm going to get a season pass for this year or the future unless another thrill ride gets added.

Why would your friend pay for a ticket and they go home half way through the day? lol
I also don't understand why you had to wait on MM for other people, if it's not busy they could have just sent you round on your own... they use to do things like that.
No Waveswinger yet?
it's so sad they haven't done anything to TTT or sort out the problems with the Hyperdrive. 5 cars on a dodgem ride seems pretty pointless to be honest, is it always like that?

I didn't understand the logic behind him leaving either, I guess he just got bored. On MM they told me 3 people had to be in a car. It might be a rule they introduced this season or maybe it was because of the wind? The wave swinger isn't ready yet and you cant really see into the construction area. I think there's a concrete foundation in place though, it looked like that from the cable car. Hyper drive hasn't ever had all of the cars on as far as know and it makes a relatively small queue last for ages.
No, the area where wave swinger will go was boarded up completely. One thing I did notice was that the entrance of the tales of the coast building is still there (I think). The rest of it was gone (or looked like it anyway) so unless it's there for a reason i'd guess it's waiting to be demolished.
Connor is obviously not familiar with the forum rules on photographs; Clause 34a of forum use states that any member of the Unofficial Pleasurewood Forum must provide photographs of "areas of forum interest" upon visiting of Pleasurewood Hills. Failure to do so will result in the disappointment and let down of the UP Forum members.
I know but I've been meaning to get a go pro for ages anyway to start a POV channel on YouTube. I doubt PWH or GYPB will have much of a problem with me filming as long as I get a chest mount. If not I can get some off ride videos.
