Wow, big cranes normally mean BIG rides! ;)

Though it's set up in a strange place, Tales of the Coast is probably the only accessible ride area it could reach. But then why would they need such a huge crane for TotC?

im still here and still do yet with the dark nights and mornings and a full time job its tricky....

The crane I would say is over the alladins cave part, I guess though it could stretch further yet then a issue with the height.

It's a puzzle, that's for sure. Cannot think of what they could need such a crane for. Unless it's HUGE theming objects ;)

Well the CEO of the Looping Group did say this last year after the opening of Hyperdrive

PLEASUREWOODHILLS in England sets up a novelty named “HYPER DRIVE”. Located in the heart of the park, this attraction will initiate a more ambitious project in this sector in the coming years.

Maybe 2016 is the year for this "ambitious project"?

No idea, he said "coming years" so it's obviously an on going thing. This could just be the next step?

Although starting with Hyper Drive doesn't exactly fill with my confidence for this "project"....

It would be strange for them to hire this crane over the Xmas period (paying for whilst no one is there). So I wonder if they've done with already?

To clear up speculation both here and on the Facebook page regarding the sea lions; Marcus was unfortunately lost at the end of 2012 being an extremely old animal of 30+ years. We sadly lost George to congenital heart failure earlier this year. To further complicate matters, facilities holding sea lions work together to create the best breeding and social groups. This means animals are sometimes switched between parks to make a better grouping. This is particularly the case of parks such as Lowestoft which hold mainly bachelor groups, where a male might need to be taken out and moved to another park to maintain gene diversity in a group of females there.

I note that Easter is end of March this year so assumingly the park will open for good Friday 25th March or perhaps the weekend before 19/20 although that seems bit early. I also note Halloween half term finishes 28th October this year so my prediction is season end will be sun 30th Oct 2016

Well they opened 5 days into the Easter hols last year, so I can't see them opening before the Easter Weekend.

Wouldn't surprise me if they opened for the Easter weekend then shut again until 'main season'

Featuring the park in the background on one of the photos, the new burial site is now open.

Lowestoft Journal

Note the picture is not recent.

all depends on weather, its bit earlier so there is every chance of snow still for end of march

Not just weather but how prepet they are, nothing worse then the Rattlesnake running half full because it's full of barrels because they haven't had time to embed it on the track properly and it needs to run for a week or two with lots of weight.

Oh, and whatever happened to that tv show that was filmed at the park? Since that day nobody's ever spoken a word about it.
