2014 End of season Finale

Well after a great season - it was time to go out with a bang !

Picked up a park map which was in a shade of purple for half term week - TTT was not listed yet was shown on the map still

Overall the park was busy today sadly we had rain for a couple of hours yet it didn't cause any major issues.

Fireball was lit up all day and on a brilliant setting and I noticed that the bars were released as soon as the floor became level again

Marble Madness proving as popular as ever - such a great addition

Sealions were fab - I always have to watch this show.

Go-karts were not running today from what I saw

TTT was also SBNO

Didn't see Woody around the park until he appeared at the trick and treat doors later in the day.

Pumpkin carving was done inside the woody cabin next to the bacon kiosk and spooky story tellers was back again in the kiddies area.

Jolly roger was operating until around 5.30pm 150ft high in total darkness as was Fireball and Pirate.

We upgraded our day with a "terror ticket" this was at £4 and gave you one entry to the three attractions - so a further £4 required each time to ride Hobs pit x scream, carriage 13 and infectious.

Hobs pit x scream did have more actors inside so if you were new to this attraction it was a worthy ride - one thing I did note there was no sign saying you needed the extra ticket to ride as some people left the line when they realised

Carriage 13 looked fab on the outside with the vinyl and paint job it had been given - we went the longer way in and it was a very tight walk through part to start with - generally it was rather good

Infectious was mainly the LL theme with some extra bits added in and again it was a walk through - picture are up on the Facebook page - I personally preferred Satans Circus from 2013 I knew that would be hard to beat - yet for 2014 a good effort put in !

Seating still up for the dive show although the pool was all gone - I suspect we will get another season next year of the dive show.

The fireworks were good ( approx. 15/20 min show ) and there was a PA system with music and a countdown which helped as the music was to the fireworks - or at least I think it was !

We left via the rattlesnake end gates and it took sometime to get out of the car park - the traffic was being controlled and the car park was after all nearly full.

So a good half term week for the park, numbers up and lots of folk around helped by the good weather too.

And so that's it the park has closed on its 31st season and what a season it has been.... a record breaker all round - well done team pwh and see you in 2015.....

Big thanks to Liam and all the team today and this season too - cheers !

** excuse the odd blur in the photos - new phone !!! **

Nice report. Great that they had a good turn out! I believe the park had to shut for one day last year due to bad weather so if hope they'd have had a better one considering the mild weather. Good photos too!

Yes - they did shut for one day last year and in general the week was a wet one in 2013

Fantastic, always great to here things were so good and busy.
Sounds like they did a decent job considering they did it all themselves this time.

^ I'm waiting to hear a review for the 3 main scares. That'll be the true test of how well they did.
