Starting off with big ques to get in we knew it was going to be something of a manic day....
The park was totally heaving from all angles - it was the busiest I have seen it for years - helped by good weather and the truckers and the fact tomorrow ( bank hol mon ) is set to be a wash out.
From the ques for toilets men and women, to the waits for the rides some in excess of 40 minutes...it was bustling with people........
We have had better food from the BBQ area it was ok yet not what we have had and there was no fresh veg on option when we dined.
Fireball was being worked on and it looked to me that the issue lies with one of the top two "cylinder" type things on top which I assume are the motors for the ride ?
TTT - SBNO - safe to say I hope this will be scrapped and a better flat installed - shame after all the work has gone into it.
Wipeout just two seats out of use - and pre recorded beach fm playing - my mate asked where the radio booth was !!

Rattlesnake and Fireball still have snake in the grass and whizzy dizzy boards up
Pictures show a mixture of the que for one of the dive shows, kids area, fireball with the cherry picker, chairlift ques and to my sheer delight on my walk home just after 6pm the overflow car park was in use - i have not seen this in use since the early 90s firework night - truly a great sight to see - wow.......... ( ok so the trucks took up a few bays yet seeing that overflow in use was magical )

I can see empty seats in 1 and 2. You cant tell with 6 as the empty seat is on the loading platform. Pic 8 you can see 2 in a row full. And pic 12 you can see an empty seat on the platform.
My guess is they tried full capacity with minimum staff and they missed some seats out every now and then?
This is great! Park looks amazingly busy. If Fireball and TTT were works that middle area would be buzzing! Such a shame. Great to see the park with loads of people in, and were people actually using the Laser Labyrinth?!
remember working there in 99 and the mega dance getting stuck upside down !!
They LOVED the word "Mega" back then, didn't they! Mega Drop, Mega Dance, Mega Spin...
I never really liked the Mega Dance, always made me feel seriously sick. I have this memory of having to sit on a large metal button in the cars... presumably something to do with safety?
