RE: 2015

As for TOTC, there is a red eyed dog on the map which would suggest that the ride remains unchanged.

This map also shows that there's nothing to suggest that TotC ISN'T being rethemed. It shows us nothing, it doesn't even have the 'new' tag by Hyper Drive.

It's a nice map, I like it. And it's good to see TTT on it!

Ahh, I see it now.

It's the Vintage Cars... you can see what looks like a crocodile and dinosaur on the map. Hopefully it will now have a proper set theme, otherwise it just got even more random!

I wonder if the finished map will have 'New' next to the hyper-drive and 'old' next to the others?
Maybe the new poster should read "Two Dodgems for 2015"

After having 4 coasters I guess the park things it needs to double up on a few more ;)

Well spotted with the change of name for the Flying School, Josh! I guess that must have happened last year. Seems an odd thing to do really...

Just looking up where Red Baron comes from. It was the nickname of a German aviator during WW1: Manfred von Richthofen.

Red Baron was it's original name, they bought it from Germany in 2008 it was the only new ride that year.

The main website has not had the new map sorted yet - I think the attraction list will then be updated too - should imagine its the next week or so

It must have been the original name before it came to PWH, I remember seeing the little A-board by the Miniature train station advertising it as "New - Woodys Flying School"

Red Barron just sounds too serious for a little kids ride!

I recall Ben from the parkmentioning something about this to me... I believe the ride was accidentally labelled as Red Barron back in 2013 on the map. They must have just kept it that way!

Yeah I think the Red Barron was it's original name when we got it.
They need to decide which name that wish to use, id keep with Woody's flying school as a it's a kids ride and very colourful. Plus, sadly I don't think kids today know what a Red Barron is/was lol

But, please relocated it!!!!!

The Flying School is one of them rides that could actually become a bit iconic for the park (in the same way that Dumbo is at Disney parks).

At the moment it's just a multi coloured kids travelling ride, but with a little imagination (and dosh) it could become so much more. For example, give it a serious/stylish paint job, with good details on the planes etc. In the middle of the ride, stick a figurine of a plane, piloted by Woody (donning old fashioned hat and goggles). Move it to where the driving school is (opposite Ponies) and give it some nice landscaping (water feature surrounding aka Dumbo?). Maybe raise it a little off the ground, just to make it a tad taller, stick some stylish fencing around it and maybe install some speakers to have Woody talk when the ride starts and/or some music. Job done, what was a kids ride has now become a nice family attraction that oozes that nice quality feel we look for.

Still keeping that 'new ride' a secret to anyone not keeping an eye on Facebook.

Anyone looking at that would be wondering what on earth it was, they might assume it's the picture next too it.

Seriously this is a huge school-boy error, a real marketing disaster.

I've just spotted a billboard advertising Hyperdrive outside ASDA in Gt Yarmouth. It's awkwardly positioned, but i'll try and get a snap of it at some point.

Nice :)

I wonder why they still use the "over 40 rides and attractions"? They've always used "40", yet we've had 12 new rides recently...

Over 50 rides shows and attractions was the original slogan... not seen any in Lowie yet but I will keep my eyes peeled...thanks Matt . They must have stuck that up after I left Asda Sunda - and as you say such a awkward place to get a pic !

Looks pretty good.
Would debate the 50 ride/attraction slogan, not sure we'll get on the Woody choppers ;)

Just heard an ad on Kiss FM for PWH. Ever wondered what you would get if you crossed Pharrell Williams with Woody Bear? Wonder no more! Our favourite mascot does a rap in the style of "Happy".

His voice sounds like the old American ads we use to have for this season. Different to the voice he had at the Marina a couple of years back ! lol

Did the park made the ad themselves, then?

I missed the start of the ad, but will hopefully catch it again soon. Did I get the song right? It is a parody of "Happy" isn't it?
