Back in 1986, the BBC launched a project to record a snapshot of life in the UK for the benefit of future generations. People submitted articles and photographs of "normal life" in the mid-1980's. Here is what one writer said about Pleasurewood Hills at the time:
-------------------
"Pleasurewood Hills is a big commercial Amusement Park situated between Corton and Lowestoft. Opened in 1982, it was designed like an American Theme Park and aimed at Family entertainment.
There are over thirty rides including Miniature Railways, Boating Lakes, a Carousel, Space-Rotor, Sky-Leap, Astro-Glide, B.M.X Track, Fairy Land Train, Turbo-Star, Cinema 180. The most popular is the Pirate Ship.
Once you have paid your entrance fee then everything inside is free. There are Barbecues, Restaurants and Cafeterias for eating in or out. 7,000 people a-day visit the Park in the season. Over 100 people are employed there."

If you were to sum up Pleasurewood Hills today, how would you describe it?
Yes - if I had turned just to the left you would see the same metal gates !!! The hedge row you can see was metal all the way it seems way back............
