The Unofficial Pleasurewood Message Board turned 5 years old this week. Thank you to everyone who has contributed over the years and an extra special thank you to our fantastic team of moderators Josh, Martyn and Alex.
I think we need an special thanks to you Matt, since without you the board would now be here, and to those that stick with the board throughout the dry periods.
I can't believe it's been 5 years! I remember finding this site after a visit to the park in 2008 that rekindled my love for the place. I was incredibly happy to find the site and when you started the forum it was great to have a place to talk about the park. It's awesome how it's grown over the past 5 years; the forum is getting more and more and the main site is looking great. Long may it continue and I'll certainly be here.
FIVE years?! That's just insane! Only seems like yesterday that I found the place, after using (the random) Ultimate Rollercoaster forum for PWH news.
It's great that we've come all this way, but I cant help but be disapppointed at the lack of new members, especially with how rapidly the park has been growning in recent years. Seems to be the same handful of people hanging around. And if anything we've lost regulars, like; Andyb, Reece, Leon, Voiceoverguy and Jools.
Reece still keeps up to date on here every now and then, been a good few years, we've gone from having to make phone calls to the park and relying on Datman (remember him) to having the park have an official account on the forum, and now the former PR guy has an account on here!
I think it will be down to us to keep things alive this season - I can not see much from the park - I would like to think we will. Not sure where Andy has gone as he still checks here yet has not posted for a long time :-(
