Deleting Facebook posts

Welcome to the forum MM.

The guest had also messaged the page directly which has been responded to. Comments are never deleted, but hidden if a query has been answered privately or moved into the complaint procedure.

In regards to closing times, unfortunately the park has to close at the set time to comply with council rules set for our nearby residents. Queue lines close early, so the actual rides can close at the designated time.

The guest has been offered complimentary tickets to come back over Halloween as a little sorry. :)

Seems to have been a great season. In particular, the social media interaction has been great.

Surprisingly however, there seems to be a policy of deleting comments which the park don't agree with. Extremely poor social media etiquette. Whilst removing comments containing poor language/abuse etc. is obviously understandable, silencing guests questions or feedback is really poor. For example a comment was left on the status update regarding today's extended opening time allowing for rides on Enigma. A guest commented how, in her experience, she was unable to join a ride's que after 5.15, so missed a go on the log flume which she had saved for the end of the day, therefore the extra half hour is pretty pointless- without letting everyone know, the que will in fact close earlier, to ensure rides aren't running after the 6pm cutoff. A perfectly reasonable comment, and one in which should have received a reply rather than a rude deletion. A reply giving the reasons why quelines close before park close would have clearly benefited other guests too.

Any thoughts?

If the question has been answered why would you 'hide' it? Wouldn't it be in your best interest to leave it up for others to see, so they don't start asking the same questions?

Lines closing early is standard - all the big guys do it too

Just needs to be stated; park closes at 6, ride queues close at 5:30 or whatever.

Well... it's not really. Since the 'park closing time' is generally the time when the queues close - not the rides themselves.

I didn't actually know that PWH operated a different procedure.

All the main rides do have notices stating the queue may close before the park closing time.

Towers, Thorpe etc close the queues and not the rides upon closing time. Guests have been leaving the park at gone 8 at night because they've been waiting for The Smiler xD

Anyhoo, I'm straying off topic :)
