When my sister went to Alton towers a few years ago she bought one of the one ride photos for one of the main coasters, and there's a woman sitting behind them practically asleep.. she look board as anything. It reminded me of that scene with Mr Bean lol

do you think it's to do with how many times you've been on a certain ride or just that that sort of feel on any ride is relaxing?
She was probably just kidding around. I sometimes like to make my ORP a bit more fun and do something oh so very quirky like pretend to be asleep or pull out the park map and read it. There's a group of people who have a lot of fun with ORPs, one that springs to mind is they actually made a fold out table and put in it the centre of the rapids boat at AT and made it look like they were having a seance!
haha that's cool. But it doesn't look like she's kidding around, we're not talking about a young girl or anything this was a woman in her 40s .. just looks board stiff.

Just so you're aware the YouTube channel has now been updated, and we also have a Instagram (pwhills) and Linkedin channel too. Regarding the website, it'll be updated in the 7 days with a re-launch of a new website during the winter. Micro-site for Pleasurewood Chills coming at some point during Summer as well as our new app for iPhone, Android and BlackBerry launching over the Pleasurewood Chills event. :)
The current website is very poor. - Unfortunately I am not wasting any more of my time trying to fix it when we are currently putting together creatives for a re-launch in the winter. Old photographs or not, I'd rather hold on everything until we re-launch.
Groupon offer tomorrow! I must say this year the park is doing so much more than ever before! I hope it pays off, I hope the park is busier and I hope it leads to continued investment. I also hope it keeps Loopings happy and they don't lose interest. This is the best I've ever seen, the social media is massive and Facebook posts are all very popular with likes and comments.
I just hope it's not just a kinda knee jerk reaction from the public, due to the 30th and Hobs publicity and great weather but something that will last for a long time.
It's a shame there isn't any 'winter' activities the park can do to keep things ticking over. (freeze the lake for ice skating?) lol

Yeah I know exactly what happened at Fritton lake, I was working on the estate at the time.. thankfully I kept well away from that particular project. (still owed a lot of money, and they've been getting themselves In all sorts of trouble, more of this they'll never fine anyone to do the work)

There wasn't really anything there anyway, it was a total rip off.
The only thing that bloke gets right is the music festival.. that's successful, certainly was last year, I decided to work that weekend and while I didn't see anything I was able to hear it all in the grounds. ;)

A lovely gesture of customer service has appeared on Facebook. Woody Bear bought a new pair of sunglasses for a little girl. Great marketing, hopefully a share or two could get people talking.
As for social media its seen a huge turnaround as there seems to be a lot less negativity this season on there! Also, according to fb it was the busiest day this year!
Quite light on the old YouTube Channel. I suppose however videos can always be extended to Facebook and Twitter so it's probably not much of a problem.
I always liked to compare PWH Facebook following to LWV's, and earlier in the year, we were about 5k behind LWV, which was an improvement as we were behind by about 10k last year, but I've just checked again and we're now 20k behind! Somehow they're now upto 44k likes!
Can you please PLEASE stop dropping 'like' into the some of the Facebook stauses that are posted. I know it's sad but having to read "You guys are like awesome" is so jarring and looks a tad unprofessional - this is East Anglia not like Beverly Hills!!
It simply gives the page a little quirkiness Patrick. That is all. Rather than being generic, standard and very much the same. We are a theme park and want to attract more teenagers. - A younger audience. So when I post like it's #TOTESAMAZE guess which demographic start to engage with the post/page - and most importantly; share?
Gotta engage with the youths I guess, same with all theses mobile phone things. I would have thought the last thing anyone would want to do at a theme park is play mobile phones (I find it very rude) But unfortunately that's the modern world.. it's a shame but if PWH wants to connect with these people they have to talk to them on their level, however irritating it is.
Can't get too intellectual about it, they'll alienate too many people and it's not PHW job to set a higher standard.
It's so daft and for me weird it just makes me giggle when I read those posts, always good to hear people enjoying themselves.
