I have to say that The Chills was phenomenal! A really great Halloween event with all the hallmarks of an established event like Scarefest. I will do a full report/review soon but I really urge people to visit if they haven't already!
Hobs is a funny one - having done it three times this weekend - each time was very different - there was no consistency - so I can see why people may leave comments on it.
I had to leave early on Friday to pick up my daughter so only got to ride it once and it was empty. I was very disappointed. Whereas Satan's Circus was out of this world!
It sounds like the event was a huge success to those who went, but those people are far and few between, doesn't sound as if it was very popular. Will they even bother doing it next year? maybe word of mouth will get out and more people will be turning our next year?

It was very good for Pleasurewood and regional parks in general.
As for people commenting on consistency - I would assume the reason Hobs was 'better' near the end of the day would be because the rides were meant to get more 'extreme' during the last hour of the day.
The other issue is that generally scare attractions can be hit and miss during different runs as no two runs will ever be exactly the same due to actors and staffing levels etc
The event was great anyway and I for one look forward to seeing it grow next year.
I went on after 4pm and it was very poor - it was at its best Saturday lunchtime

So I visited the Chills on the Wednesday. Overall, I was very impressed! Main points:
- The music around the park was very good, but there needed to be more of it. I only counted 3 areas where it was being played; entrance, kiddy zone and by Fireball. It needed to be all over the park really.
- Hobs Pit X-scream was awful. It was no different to the ride I went on in June, if anything, it was worse as there were more effects not working, and the end scene ws even more drab than normal. The photo is now out of sinc with the ride car as it flashes just as you're coming around the corner, before the guy has a chance to make yoou jump. It's such a shame as they've done a grand job in certain areas, yet it's let down on the basic stuff.
- Tales of the Haunted Coast was diabolical. Massive queue, only 3 boats, and the guy running it was allowing boats to go round with just 2 people in them! It was the basic normal ride, with NO animatronics working, just music and 2 actors. One tells you there's a witche around the corner, and the other is the witch casting some spell. Even kids were coming off looking bored.
- Satans Circus was awsome. Not the scariest maze I've ever been in, but really interesting. I loved all the different themed rooms etc. I probably would have found it more scary if there was a group of us in there, but as there was no queue, it was just the 2 of us.
-Horror Express; different. I enjoyed it, though it wasn't particularly scary. There wasn't much space to move about in there, which helped. Again, really good theming.
- Didn't see anyone roaming the park.
But in general, it was a pretty awsome event for little PWH. I probably enjoyed it more than Fright Nights.
