New for 2013: Woody's Tea Party

We might as well have a thread for the Teacups!

I just pray that it's a full size model....

RE: New for 2013: Teacups

I hope that it will be a model where the cups are able to spin independently

I hope it's a big traditional model like the one at Thorpe Park. I also hope it's installed in the ground ala Tide Traveller

^^ I've never come across any that dont spin independently...

Some Pirate themed teacups would be ace, but they given these the generic teacup name, so chances are it's just a standard model.

We've had a clue that leads me to think that the Teacuops will be a small, kids model:

"Ahh....that time of day when you put your feet up. Anyone fancy a cuppa?"

I guess it's that new building in the background? (unless that's the old bandstand from Main St?)

It is a new roof, they have said on facebook, but whether that means completely new or new to the area remains to be seen.

Didnt Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach have a set of Tea cups which they removed, Could Pleasurewood have purchased them?

Well if that's it then its good that its got a roof and looks to be a more permanent installation. I suppose we'll have to weight and sea.

Yeah, I guess it's good that they've done it the proper way.

And I think the Woody Coptors may have been moved again. Look at this pic I took last year:

I think they should be in this pic? And it looks like they've removed that big hedge as you can see more coloured fencing in that new pic...?

Scrap that.

It looks like they've gone on the right, where them picni benches are.

Why do they keep using nice green areas with trees around when there's plenty of open space all over the park? Looks like there's going to be another year with nothing on the HBP site.

Yeah I see where you mean. It seems like they are cramming a lot of rides in a small space! I just hope it looks good though.

BUT - it is being installed properly.

I would have like a full size model, but have no issues with travelling models of any ride IF installed to a high standard. I wonder where these have come from?

Well it may be kids travelling version but it looks like it will be installed nicely.

Dont get me wrong, they have done a really good job with it, it's just a shame that it's a kids model

Yeah, true dat! I was secretly hoping for an adult model near the entrance where the carousel was. I hope that the lack of ride at the entrance could possibly mean that there may be something unexpected there!

I just cant help but think that all the time and money spent on this could have been better spent elsewhere in the park. If it was a full size model, then it would be different, but this a kids ride, something the park has more than enough of.

We'll have to wait and see Martyn, Hob's Pit could blow us all out of the water!

Next to the Woodycoptors, where the two picnic benches are in this pic:

Looks like we're going to have another year with nothing to do on the long walk to SITG.

Can't remember seeing it mentioned before, but the Teacups will be called "Woody's Tea Party".

That's quite a neat name actually.

I hope they personalise the ride with a Woody figure/statue!

RE: New for 2013: Woody's Tea Party

Just a thought, but if Hob's pit is going to be a FF revamp, what about the Woody and friends for tea figure, could this be going near here?

They weren't figures, they were 20 year old teddies!

I like the name! It's sounds lovely, like it's going back to the days of old.
