RE: New for 2013: Hobs Pit

When Alexis used the term 'mega', I'm certain he was referring to major thrill rides etc.

Well yes, but I have my doubts

I didn't have any doubts back then, but I do now. It is a bit disappointing really. In 2011 we found out about the 200ft drop tower, another 'mega' ride and a major refurb for Enigma - none of which has happened nearly 2 years later.

Hobs Pit is looking good, and what they done with Thundestruck was ace, but I wish they'd spend money of sorting out the other derelict rides, rather than getting yet more kids stuff. Enigma and Dodgems are an embarrassment, you'd think they belonged to an abandoned park.

The Dodgems would be so much better in their own bespoke permanent building. I hope HP lives up to the 'mega' tag if that is what was meant to be 'mega'.

Fireball needs sorting first...10 years old this year and its been left to rot...... then yes dodgems are a disgrace....

I bet Thunderstruck will not be open on opening day and have a very limited 2013.....

Fireball is in a much better condition than the likes of Enigma and Dodgems, it's just being operated like a kids ride!

It's worth posting again:

So, so great to see little PWH putting this much effort in!

I hope it has elements of walkthrough but with some sort of ride system.

If it's a Fairtale Fantasy revamp, I'd say new cars are a must.

Announce it please! The length of the ride is quite good really - if it had something decent to walkthrough or pre show it could be very good. Decent sound and clever lighting can be done quite simply but what is the pay off gonna be. Thats the tricky thing!

If its a glorified ghost train - how will it be unique? The rider has to come away having experienced something new............!

I dont care if it is just a simple Ghost Train, it's still a new dark ride experience for the park.

I just hope it's sh*t scary!

Yes a decent Ghost train would be a good addition . I just hope they put some thought into it!

Today PWH posted a picture from FF. Is it and old photo? Or does this confirm that FF is not the location of HP? Interesting...

It got me thinking too, Josh. Also interesting that they have focussed on Ronnie and Clarence too, especially as they have been side lined at the park for many years now... Maybe i'm reading too much into things but this could be a clue to the "family favourites" that are due to return this year, as was discussed previously.

It could be old, but then it might not be..... laughing

I dunno, I do still think that Hobs Pit is a FF revamp. Surely Reece or Coolskin would have been able to see TotC from when they walked past? (it has to be either TotC or FF...)

Who's going to go when the park opens, to get some pics?

I think it could work quite well opening mid-season. There's still 3 other new rides they can plug, PLUS they can now give away cheap return tickets for when it opens, like they did with Wipeout.
