Hills have eyes / fireworks finale 2012

Was truly pouring of rain all day. We arrived at 1.30pm ish.  Last year around 3000 enjoyed season end today I was told around 500....

Water, water everywhere. Not much halloween stuff like last year and nothing happend with the witches thing that is still in Main Street. Eveything except arcade and fairytale shut in main street when we walked through at 3pm.

Random lighting on Fireball... didnt even see the log flume going - it was operating yet no one going on it

About 6 of us watching the 3pm sealion show.

About 6 bulbs working on the top spire of the Jolly Roger...  "mega drop" lighting lit up in neons and flood lights on it.

One good thing this year AT LAST major rides working until 5.15pm some 30 mins before the fireworks...finally !!!!!!!!!!!  More lighting installed all round the park

LL has not had a good year - why should you pay to use it when half the stuff is shut or just closed.

The live band did their best to entertain what was left in terms of people.

Fireworks went off behind the castle - they were good and lengthy yet lacked any sort of organisation

Emporium shop shut after firewroks so no chance of catching some cash..

I had dinner in Merry Mariner, salad bowl, chips, hot chocloate and cornish pasty under a tenner and tatsy.

All in all it would have been heaving again if the weather was better - it was truly a abysmal day. Such a shame.

The 2013 plan is up on the white board in the office facing the car park.

Anglian bus stop at end of car park by enigma and the bus left empty while we were still pouring out of the park !!

No lighting at car park exit instead a workers car headlights were used....

I did not take any photos.

The magic show was very good - watched it twice.

Gosh that is a shame, but the weather was - as forcast - dire. Make or break isn't it?

Good to hear of the extra lighting... the year I went was shocking TBH. I bet JR was cool in the dark!!

I'll post my full reflections on the year another time, but today seems ironically fitting for the season they have had.
