Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Off here in a few weeks, any one know of any where to get cheaper wristbands ? I mean £27 is not bad for the date I go, just wondered if there was anything going ? I have searched Google yet can not find anything...

The only offers you can usually find for BPB is '3 for 2' vouchers.

No matter how cold/wet/windy it is you have to ride Valhalla the best ride in the park by a mile and definitely the best non-roller coaster ride in the UK.

Eh! If it was cold wet and windy I would not advise riding a ride that will get you completely soaked through! laughing

Apart from the Grand National fire, operations have been great when I've been there.

Just a shame that their safety record is appalling!

Well got in the park at 10am, nothing going until 10.30am+ with some as late as 12noon. Valhalla was broken and had been the day before so it was shut, no sign as you came in to tell you. Pepsi max was shut for a bit, then open then it got stuck comeing into station. Some American guy Richard was doing his world record attempt on the pepsi, he was up to day 15 of 103 that he wants to break.....we thought the max was rough, something management denied later in the day.

Mouse was just insane, flipping heck its bad.

Infusion peeling now and showing its former red life.....

Nick streak looks nice and was a nice ride, glad they bought that ride back in service. The whole Nickland area looks nice.

The former Iron Bru looked nice in its new grey colour...my seatbelt came undone when we went backwards....

The playstation or tango blast did not seem as good as last time I rode it, and it does not go very far up either ? ?

The swing was broken in the Impossible attraction.

Grand national was shut then open then shut, it hurt my neck. Think that was because I was a bit tense on it.

Valhalla did reopen just as we were leaving.....so we went back in and rode, got soaked. Not sure what work they did to it over winter etc yet it is still an amazing attraction.

Toilets were very clean trhoughout the park. Think some bits need sorting especially the big spot where Bling use to sit..... Just a closed off empty area, looks daft. I know it was breaking down a lot yet so surprised they sold that on.

On a seperate note also did The tower eye and you can really see how much Merlin have piled into Blackpool.....The 4d movie was excellent - with its stunning effects -  and the tower eye itself looks much better when you get there. Circus was bit boring, Blackpool Dungeon was bit boring too I thought, they had their drop tower in there too. Sealife was not as good as Yarmouth and Madame Tussuads well to think that was Loius Tussuads a couple of seasons back, Merlin have made that great inside. Finally we took in a non merlin place and did the uk's biggest indoor waterpark....was brilliant....

The Pepsi Max is always rough... doesn't help that it's an old Arrow which has seen many track re-profiles over the years!

PBB is a great park though, with so much future potential. Did you see anything around the Gold Mine site for the Wallace & Gromit ride?

I did not get the magical feel of BPB this time round, it just felt different. I think there were dogems around that area Mr Brightside, not sure to be honest.

It was a bridge across from one section of the park to the other, called the Tom Sawyer Bridge because it used to have a ride underneath it called "Tom Sawyer Rafts."

Strong rumours that the new coaster for 2018 will be a launch coaster similar to Helix...

Finally a worthwhile new investment for the industry in this sodding country! Layout looks pretty good as well.

The Wild Mice roller coaster is no more at BPB, a sad day for this ride.
