Tpark report 2012

 Correct.

I'm glad the Kiddie Zone (needs a new name - i hate 'kiddie' or 'kids'... perhaps a return to Woody's Little Big Park or something) gets fair review. I am looking forward to taking my young 'uns to this park of the park. Shame they couldn't find a sponsor for the area, like Drayton did before Thomas Land.

Come on PWH get these rides up and running, the bad reviews keep coming, and it is getting very hard to defend.

Another point raised was Fireball still on that seriously weak setting. WHY? Don't give me the line of people being sick, its a thrill ride and should be run as one like other parks do. Its like owning a Ferrari and crawling down the motorway at 30mph.

I agree Andy I have done similiar too. I have no plans to visit this season anymore, unless a really cheap deal arrives. i am tempted for fireworks night if there is one this year yet only if there is some improvements made

To be honest, that review is probably spot on for how the park is right now. I found myself agreeing with pretty much everything he said. Its never going to be a good review when Enigma, Thunderstruck and Jolly Roger are all closed, and especially when they started the day riding the Pirate Ship, Tales of the Coast and Fairytale Fantasy! laughing

This is what stood out to me:

The magic show was good, we enjoyed that, although it was a little too mature for some of the target audience, taking a woman’s head off is a little too much for younger children.

Maybe they should have a little warning on the entrance sign stating that some children may find it frightening?

One final thing if you are planning on a visit to Pleasurewood Hills, keep an eye out for the members of staff who ride around on the golf buggies, they fly around the park with little to no regard to children’s safety

That is quite unbelievable to be honest. We have these at the Zoo, and the rules for using them are SO strict.

the staff and more than friendly, mostly wanting to chat as you wait for rides, they are the ones who make the park what it is, and they deserve the credit

It was a nice surprise to read that, can't say I've ever really know the ride ops at Pleasurewood to be overly friendly. But that guy is right, friendly staff can make the whole day so much better.

One other thing I'd like to add is that they should really be handing out heavily discounted tickets when the main new attraction isn't open (let alone the other two main attractions that are down).

In 2007, before Wipeout opened, they were offering return tickets for £2! If you wanna get people through the gate, thats what you've got to do.

I have noticed that especially if you hang out near jolly roger and talk with them when it gets to the top shouting up at people its broken down and other things to annoy them before it drops them, they are all up for a nice chat and a laugh now

I choose not to read the review as like Andy said and I did the other week it is getting hard to defend. Truly awful shocking start to 2012.

What is the reason for the awful Fireball setting ? we have all asked many times and never get an answer, is it money ? I went on Thorpe parks one last week and the one at the yarm fair the other week and it is madness to think that our fireball is capable of the good thrill that they are yet instead we get ONE decent swing either side.

Is all the bad stuff a result of one area or one thing???

^Previously i have replied to comments anout PWH on FB.

But i don't have the desire to do it with these. Yes they took on alot through the Winter, but it really is a shambles.

By now i would have hoped to visit maybe two times. But i haven't been once.

I am glad i didn't buy an overpriced season ticket.

£74.50 for an adult, which aqautes to needing to go about 4 times and you've made your money back.

That is quite a lot is it not, when I think how much I paid for my Merlin premium pass which was the same amount in the Merlin deal I got !!!

That is quite a lot when you consider that a season pass at Alton Towers is something like £90.

Yes it is a lot. A reasonable price, in my eyes, would be £49.99 and added park perks like half-price P2P attractions and 20% off park food and gifts. Come on PWH make season pass holders feel valued and not like they are being ripped off.

A couple of offers could have also been nice; £74.99 but half price if ordered before March. Easy things that would make people actually want to spend their money.

And yes compared to Alton Towers' £90 it is a complete rip-off. Plus AT Holders get 20% off gifts and food.

:O i knew was a ripoff but only brought it to encourage myself to go up there more often to participate in the tournament ;P

^ so thaats more than 50 quid in about 14 years, lets have a look at the big attractions that have justified that price rise, rides breakdown more often, rides run with less capacity the list goes on...

Yes in 1998 it was passport to fun or something like that, think it is in the loft somewhere and it had the Hollywood logo on it. I use to proudly have it round my neck and we picked them up from the old mobile units in front of Wipeout by the fence before they removed them and built the new office block
