Going back to this caravan park rumour, there are few reason why I believe it wont happen:
I really cant see how they could benefit from accomodation
With that bottom end chopped off, the park would just be waayy too small
So far, no planning applocations have been sent in
There really isn't enough room for a caravan park down there, unless they only want something like 10 caravans, then whats the point in that? And I cant see the locals being happy that either.
And I dont believe the fact that the clown slide has been moved should mean anything really. It did look really out of place there, and its gone to form a part of a new kids playground area. Makes sense to me. There's going to be a lot ride rotations next year, and I could really see Sky Hooks down there next to SITG.
If you look at the part where you get on near kite flyers there is a large counter weight on it to keep tension in the metal rope, but I am fairly sure that was touching or very near touching the floor. If they were to keep it going I'd imagine all of the rope would have to be replaced (I couldn't see it lasting another full season as it is). That being said, there was some scaffolding around that ride in September and it was closed, no idea what they were doing to it though.
Yeah, it would be a really poor decision if it was to be. I don't know what it would be like but to me it would just seem really tacky, something I want PWH to try and steer clear of in the future and become a higher quality theme park.
The chairlift is also a really unique attraction and it would be criminal to remove it.
Chairlift stopped at 4pm today, so maybe that was it's last ever run....
According to your reports, a lot of rides closed at 4pm ;)
sadly yes they did..... Enigma had the gate across before 4pm if i remember right, chairlift had stopped, alladins cave was shut, log flume stopped nearer 4.30pm.
