Saturday 17th September

My day at the hills started as it should with a greeting from Woody, I mention this because I was there little under a month ago and he wasn't anywhere to be seen. It was heartbreakingly quiet up to about midday, with several trips on snake in the grass by myself. Taking a trip over the chair lifts you could see that the park was quiet, just as if it was closed. No queues, not even on Wipeout. I joked with the staff all day about it being quiet and they responded with mutual feelings. Everything was up and running, apart from Thunderstruck and Helter Skelter. Thunderstruck looked sorry for itself with only Harris fencing being it's only downfall. Another difference in recent weeks has been the removal of the stairs and bridge over the miniture railway, these are no more at all. On the subject of the MR, in the tunnel with what im guessing is prep for the halloween season, are a box, suitcase type prop and a skeleton. I tried to capture this but failed. There is one less carriage on the MR, funny thing is you see it just as you enter the woods with plants and shrubbery in it (bad move). It looked new to me but where did that strange Aladin come from, with graffiti on it, I've attached a picture. It's terrible and doesn't go with anything. Woody's Candy Cabin wasn't open at all today, much the dissapointment of the kids and myself! On the subject of things not in service were various "show stages" dotted around the site to single out acts from the circus show. Each sign said no show today, and neither was there a month ago, another patch of space unused. Good points from the day were the Castle Theatre show, with it's cheesy music and sexual references but brilliant acts made it unmissable. Also before hand Woody was around and being active sneaking in and out of the curtain and hiding from people. Overall a throughlly enjoyable day, highlights being 7 trips on Tales of the Coast of which I'm not ashamed of and 2 for £5 money boxes! Samuel

7 times on Tales of the coast! You are either in the minority of members on here and actually really enjoy it, or that has something to do with your big project!?

Did you see the private message i sent to you on here?

Diversion tactics!

Anyway, nice report. It is such a shame that the park was so deserted. So could you see any particular reason why the bride from the MR had been removed?

I didn't even notice that the other month... strange thing to do really, wasn't causing any harm, was it?

And cutting the capacity on the MR is another bad move, thats one ride I always have to queue for...

Thunderstruck looked sorry for itself with only Harris fencing being it's only downfall.

I dont quite understand that, at all?!

You don't have to post everything in brackets - it's not like you changed much there apart from "smoking" to "smokin'" and "my" to "me"...
