RE: Halloween 2011

I did email them after last years firework event with thoughts on how it could be easily improved, mainly with better ride lightning etc

I think it needs a scare maze to be a stand out event tbh and bring it up to standard with other UK Parks. The labyrinth would be perfect.

"The Hills have eyes" - That is a masterpiece, who ever came up with that is a genius!

Thanks Martyn! That was all me :P
Unfortunately, my smugness is short lived as the spelling mistake was also all me...

Nice one, yes it is a cool name for PWH's Halloween event. Fits well.

The Hills have Eyes: Halloween 2011

That's really cool, but I think that the 'H' in 'have' should be capitalised, minor niggle though! :) Does this mean Stitch is no more?

Can Laurence or any one confirm that some of the rides will work into the dark like they did last year ? Hope they light them up better than last year, well Wipeout looked good yet needed a bit more, Pirate Ship was nicely lit yet shame they no longer use the lights on the bottom of the boat and the bulbs that use to light up at the top which once housed woodys face.

think they need a cheap electrician to keep on top of simple things like bulb changes etc, those little things make such a big difference but always seem overlooked....

I so hope that's for some kind of live action horror maze, say, underneath the Castle Theatre? ;)

From the official site:

Fight off the ghouls in the Laser Labyrinth

The Laser Labyrinth will be open for Halloween!

Woody has been seen fighting off some creepy creatures in there this week, but he needs your help!

It sounds like a great idea. In fact I can see this being very popular during Halloween.

^ Yeah, possibly, but remember, this is a pay-to-play attraction (unless you have that voucher).

Yes it is but when you go to AT or Thorpe all their scare mazes are pay to play so I'm sure people would have a problem with paying for this...providing it's not silly money.

Eh, really? That must be new then, as everytime I've to Alton/Thorpe I've never paid for the mazes...

Sorry Martyn, you're right they are free but they have some separate mazes which are pay to play. Ie Carnival of Screams and Boiler House at AT. :) the ones in park are included in park admission.

At Towers only Terror of the Towers is free... the 'off-park' ones are charged for, except this year they will be on park (but still charged for), in the old Black Hole tent...

Thats a bit off having to pay for them, especially when all the BOGOF vouchers cant be used at that time of year either...
