Seriously, this is the most excited I have been about a theme park for a long long time. This repaint is looking absolutely awesome! I really didn't expect a full retheme of this ride as well as everything else. Pleasurewood really are stepping things up and I am loving it!
With the extra tourism that the UK will get next year this is a really great move. I can see PWH having it's biggest year for a very, very long time!
Last time i was on thunderstruck, my "pod" struck the side of the ride, like proper hard, it hurt a lot. On asking the operator, he said oh that happens sometimes. What!? NEVER AGAIN.

I think that thunerstruck is not actually that bad a ride but just needs some work doing to it to freshen it up so it works properly and looks good. Im really glad that pwh are getting a drop tower ride but i also hope that they don't get rid of thunerstruck but just relocate it so that its another ride to have in the park and espesially as there repainting the pods which look good.

Do you honestly think that ride would be operating if the pods was hitting the side of the ride? , the rides are tested out every morning , what you and many other people are expieriancing is the pods piston arms at the front and back of each pod hitting the shock pads, if you rock the pods hard enough when stable they will hit the damper, as the ride is going round people think the pods are hitting the lift arm but it is impossible for this to happen, no scrape marks on the lift arm and the pods are made of fiberglass so if it did hit the lift arm they would shatter at the speed the pods are travelling, the point where the pods are rockin the most is as they go over the lift arm so they do bang slightly as the piston goes in and out , but the brain automatically thinks that its hitting the lift arm which is impossible :)
well i for one have never felt anything and like datman sai it wouldnt happen, it would be too dangerous to operate if that were the case im sure voiceoverguy
Like Datman said it would be impossible for it to hit that arm. If the pod were to hit it, it would be agains't the floor of the ride when its stationery.
Laurence are you able to confirm ( even though we know the ride IS staying ) that after its re-theme and over winter that Thunderstruck IS being relocated or is it staying where it is ? Any chance of a latest pic of where the base of the ride is please ?
The base is still near enigma at the minute, and will be over the Halloween half term (fenced off). I can't however tell you if anything is being relocated.
I imagine many of you will be coming over the Half Term week, and as a pre-warning, there will be some areas fenced off because of attractions closures and potential movements.

are you ever gunna refurbish the controls on wave coaster so that you can have one person operating at the top of the slide?
This really is something that needs to be done, it is silly with just one lane open. As we have said before with some electrical work just one operator at the top can run both lanes, and how much better will that look and profeesional too, and help the people waiting....
I don't think it's an electrical problem now, I think there is a slight problem with the material at the foot of the slide that would damage the boats. This would take slightly longer to do but will now be a job for over the winter period.
^ The electrical problem that was mentioned was more to do with the normal reason for only one lane operating; staffing. As the release buttons are too far apart for one ride op to press. But a bit of electrical work and I'm it could be sorted.
