Thanking a post or rep points

Is there any way of getting this feature?  I think having a rep system or thanking system (or booing aswell) will allow users to show appreciation for certain posts and also clear up some unnecessary single word posts from the forum.

It is possible to rate a topic on a scale of one to five, but there is no allowance for individual post ratings. Sorry.

That's a shame. I've not noticed that topic rating system before though. :)

A lot of people request this stuff on other forums, but I personally dont/cant see the need for it really.

I think on more popular, mainstream boards it is popular, but to be honest I don't see a need for it on something very niche like this....

I actually think it might be an idea to have a better forum software system, such as MyBB installed. This current 'activeboard' system is quite limited in it's use; I noticed it's actually hosted separately to the UFP site - is this running costs Matt?

This is something I have considered and will look into in the future. In the mean time I will continue to iron out any issues people have with the current set up as the comments come in.
