RE: Planning application sent in for a 60m DROP TOWER!

Great letter. I think that must be AndyB of these very forums who sent that. Well done Andy, let's hope that all letters get taken into consideration. And Mrbrightside is right, we should all send letters. I'm all for it.

If we can all write something both coherent and supportive then I think we all should? Show that there is a lot of support out there for this ride!!

In the letter that we believe to have been sent from Andy B, they're are some capital letters missing. If you are going to send in letters of support, an action I greatly encourage, then please can you proof read afterwards. The people reading it want to g see coherent and well structured documents, and it will reflect the park community in a better light.

I do hope this is something that will be accepted for Pleasurewood Hills.

^ LOL, well spotted!

Patrick is right though, if letters look like they've been done by kids (no Andy, yours doesn't!lol), then they aren't going to be much use really.

Its upto you lot what you do, but I dont think there's a need for a load of letters of support. Did they get ANY letters of support for Wipeout, yet it (eventually) got approved? So long as there isn't mass protest from the locals, this should easily get approved.

Edit: Some more plans have been added, but its nothing exciting really

PLANS

Those plans were quite interesting actually, it shows really how tall this structure is going to be.

I would seriously encourage people to write letters for support, everything must be taken into consideration. (No matter how good (or bad) the grammer.) I think there will be more anti-posts from local residents so i really felt the need to counteract any potential communication from them.

I think it was a CAPITAL effort from myself :)

How about everybody uses one template and we send it in. I believe it would make the support for the new ride look more structured and better organized if one group sent in a few letters saying the same thing. It should really hit home the advantages and it hopefully minimize the chance of kids ( which we know use this forum) from writing grammatically incorrect material.

If nobody volunteers then I am more than happy to step up and do it!

I dont think one letter/email copied a dozen times is going to have much of a desired affect really.

I dont know if this is because of a problem with the planning portal, but ALL the associated documents for this have been removed...

Looks like just an error to me.

Doesn't anyone else agree that a load of letters of support could look a bit dodgy on PWH's behalf? I cant imagine there are lots of applications that get letters of support, so to get a few for this could make it look like its been set up by PWH.

Just a thought...

I see what you are saying but there is nothing wrong with a group of people showing their support for the park.

And as long as all the names and addresses are real and can be traced by the council they have to take them into consideration.

They have to take all the letters at face value (:

Noticed MORE good news!!

Another letter of support has been added from a local business owner AND a consultee response has been added which shows Suffolk County Council have no objections to the planning application. They talk about the rules on Public Rights of Way - but as long as PWH stick to these and do not obstruct the public footpath nearby there is no objection from them.

Suffolk County Council having no objections is fantastic news, I'm starting to get a very good feeling about this now....

And as long as all the names and addresses are real and can be traced by the council they have to take them into consideration.

Well for arguements sake, whats the point in say Josh or myself doing a letter? As we dont live locally to PWH, so our opinion on it wont be considered as an important one. If you get what I mean.

Oh, and Josh, how did you stumble across this application in the first place? I had tried to search on there before but could never understand how to do it properly as its not as simple as just typing in 'Pleasurewood Hills' etc...

All interesting...

I think I might write a well constructed letter giving my support too...
Also, the WDC Planning Portal is full of SQL errors. Think their database back-end needs clearing out or something ha.

And they're only saying no because of Wipeout, so they've admitted that they're being petty about it!lol

Whipeout must seriously be annoying the locals.... :/

Let's not talk anything up !!  Just been thinking, is there anyway that theyc an build some type of boxing or sound proofing around the oh so noisy part of Wipeout ? The thing is with some of the houses nearby well certanily one batch behind the lake the park was there long before they were and the drop will go on the other side to them anyway !!!

They could could put a tunnel around it, but then that would most probably cause an echo effect, making it worse!

Anywho, I'm now signing off for the weekend. Got another fun little weekend away planned, last time I done that, I came back to find this thread...so more of the same please :D

I think they're past that stage now to be honest. They're slowly removing the silly names, ie Timber Falls and Fireball.

A Consultee report has been added from the Corton Parish Council. I guess they ask the Parish Councillors for their opinion on it as there's a short list of names, about 4 have said they have no objection, and a couple haven't been filled in.

Good news again I guess...
