Condor ride

I remember when I visited Pleasurewood one year (I cant remember what year though), and I noticed upon my arrival that the Waltzers were in bits in the car park.

For that reason alone I had a great day, as, to put it bluntly, they were awful. They looked awful, and just were completely rubbish.

Anyway, I remember seeing a man in a suit in the park, so I asked him if they were intending on replacing the Waltzers, and he kindly replied with "yes, were hoping to getthe Condor ride from Pleasure Island"

And this is it:

Well it never happened for what ever reason, but now you know they were after it, what do you think? Would have liked to see it at PWH?

I personally would have loved to see it there, one reason being that the spot it would have gone it is PERFECT for nice tall tower type ride like a Condor. Yes it was old, but they could have spruced it up a bit, and I really like these rides. They are quite slow and boring, but when you're 100ft+ in the air, it makes it that little bit more exciting.

I have been on one and enjoyed it and thought it was a decent family ride (so i have voted yes) but its not to different from thunderstruck and the money could be spent on something better. although they would probably spend it on a stupid quasar attraction.

^ Pleasure Island actually put that Condor ride on eBay, they started the auction at £75,000 but no one bid at all.

I would much rather they paid £75,000 for that, than £50,000 for the play area and £65,000 for the Labyrinth.

Nah, aside from the height they did very little.........

BUT that didn't stop them buying Thunderstruck!

GYPB actually had one of these back in their hayday, when they had the likes of Bad, Terminator and that Looping Coaster.

They are relatively dull, but when you're at the full height, and your little car swings out, and all you can see is the ground from 100ft up, its quite hair raising.

And I think they look quite intimidating.
