2011 Promo Stuff

Early indications are that this years leaflets etc will continue with the whole "Pleasurewood THRILLS" and aqua effect material, reverting to a dark blue with an additional tag line 'The Family FUN Park' in bold yellow font.

Sadly i've seen zero mention of any of the new bits and bobs for 2011, but i have not seen the actual park leaflet, just an advert in a tourist guide.

I did expect the design to the stay the same again, but with a slight difference, as thats what happened last year.

Though its quite odd that the advert wasn't advertising anything new, considering the Nature Trail has been on the cards since this time last year? But then I suppose some of these adverts can be quite small....

We'll just have to wait and see the new leaflets...(if we ever do, some shops still have the 2009 leaflet!)

Thanks for updating us.

It's probably down to the promotional material already being created for this year, ahead of the ownership change. Adverts and printing take a while to sort out, so I assume that they've gone with the previous design.

I dont think the change of ownership would have affected anything, after all, we still have the same park manager?

As Martyne says the park management is still the same but having different financial backers may change a few things. The new owners will want to know how their money is going to be spent and what they think the best direction for the park is. Hopefully the park management can convince them to spend big!

Thinking about whats been said re: maybe more rides before summer - i haven't actually seen a full park leaflet yet - have any of you guys? There is none on those tourist leaflet stands in supermarkets, stations etc......

I wonder if they are waiting for some info on NEW RIDE(S) before going to print?????

(Posters etc are up in schools, petrol stations etc but no full leaflets)

All the 2011 stuff did arrive at the park not too long ago. It was posted on their Twitter, so they're not holding out for anything.

I haven't seen any updated leaflets really, apart from GYPB at the McDonalds in Swaffam, but thats about it really. Best to check out the local Tourist Info centre's.

I spotted a leaflet today while out and about in Norwich. I can't scan and upload it though as I recently moved house and don't have a scanner sorted yet, sorry!

Anyway, the front page reads "Pleasurewood Thrills" in much the same way as it has in previous years. As you open it, the naff "Labyrinth" logo and a brief description - same wording as was on the website - takes up almost a full page. More interestingly though is a message below this which could possibly go some way to confirm the recent rumours of new rides for summer...

It reads: "We are continually investing in new rides and facilities for your enjoyment - watch this space!"

The rest of the leaflet contains no real surprises, just the usual photos and descriptions of the attractions.

They are promoting this new ride/investment stuff really hard now. Looks like things are finally happening!

Sounds like they may have had some of this planned for some time then!

I have scanned in the park leaflet I picked up in Tesco today, it wouldn't fit on the scanner so there is some overlap.

Thanks for uploading that Josh. Again, they have hit top spot with their marketing, the park looks brilliant on them leaflets. They're fantastic, and I'd go as far as saying near on perfect.

"We are continually investing in new rides and facilities for your enjoyment - watch this space!" - I get the feeling they put that in there as they know as well as us that its been 4 years since the last new ride.

I REALLY hope there is some truth in this Tower ride rumour.

The labyrinth page doesn't even look that tacky...

The line about new rides though does make me very excited!

Agreed I think the Labyrinth page looks great, although they are blatantly light sabers, it does look well slick.

Anyone else notice that the Labyrinth is open 7 days a week, even when the park is closed?

That makes me think its being run by an outside company. It would surely be too costly to actually keep the gates to the park open every day of the week?

All seems a bit odd to me, especially the location. You could understand them wanting to attract people to the park when its closed if say the attraction was on the carpark boundary of the park, but the Castle is agains't the back wall!

And are people really going to travel to PWH for just a Laser game? I really cant see this being popular enough to stay for a long time.
