"The Nature Trail is intriguing to say the least and i look forward to the new station and track reroute. It seems that the park are continuing with these 'little touches' and it is these that will continue to improve the park and shed it in a good light."
I'm currently in 2 minds with the Nature Trail. I get the feeling its just going to be a pathway in the woods at the back corner.
I guess its good that they're doing things to help the locals, such as removing the train from the woods, but I just hope it doesn't ruin the whole experience, as the train running through the woods was great. Also I hope they've done a proper job of the ne station (wherever it is?!)
I guess like most things with Pleasurewood, we'll just have to wait and see...

What they have done is bring the turn after the castle forward, with the station on the new right curved track. This results in much less time through the woods.... At Halloween last year, the station was just a wooden platform - no cover or anything like that.
I'm actually looking forward to getting back to PWH this year and seeing all these changes. We've been moaning about these recent changes, yet at least we have something to kind of look forward to?
One other thing, they said that they removed the train from the back end of the woods to reduce noise (hopefully to help with planning permission for future attractions ;), yet surely chucking the Nature Trail in that neck of the woods (haha) is just going to create more noise from people being in there all day?
Or maybe the Nature Trail is going to be just outside the woods, where that unused land is next to where the Clown slide was (which could be the reason for removing the Clownslide?)
I quite liked the bit in the woods! I always thought they could do some decent themeing with a story and it would have been good if the nature trail looped round the track.
Actually, I've just realised, if the new station is there for the Nature Trail, then it must be going through the woods, and I guess it ends in the corner by the Chairlift station?
I suppose its actually a good way of using the space in the woods, as lets face, we would never ever see any 'ride' in there. Like I have said before, I just hope its more than a pathway in the woods, it would be great if they had some animal enclosures in there.
I would imagine the nature trail will be more than just a pathway through the woods. The park has mentioned it on every press release and that says to me that it is a serious and substantial addition to the park. I am envisaging a pathway with fantastical theming throughout the trees and maybe enclosures for certain animals or birds. In fact I really don't know what to expect from a nature trail but it has to be good and I for one am looking forward to it.
Why have they suddenly dropped it? They even went to the effort of making a new train station for it!
And how can they not even know why it isn't happening anymore? They work there after all!
Its one bad move after another for Pleasurewood. I had eventually warmed to the idea of the Nature Trail, now its dropped in favour of this Laser crap.

I beg to differ. a quasar attraction isn't the greatest thing to see in a theme park. and thats 65k that could have gone to a new ride or a complete overhaul of Enigma. But then compared to the last 3 years at least its something.
Well it seems that the Nature Trail has fizzled out into nothing. For those who are on park tomorrow can you please see what's going on with this. And also you know the rules TAKE LOADS OF PHOTOS!!

No specifics have been given yet around what additions the park could see as a result of the change of ownership, but it has confirmed it will press ahead with existing plans to open several minor attractions in 2011. This includes an indoor laser game, a nature trail and a new station for one of the park's two miniature trains. Pleasurewood Hills will also redesign its car park and entrance to improve and accelerate entry to the park for guests.
Taken from this news article in February, just after the park was sold.
It seems that plans have changed I suppose unless the Nature Trail has just been pushed to later on in the season. Interesting comment about the car park being redesigned although I don't think it needs doing personally - well it wouldn't be high on my priorities list. A bar-coded turnstile systems would be cool though.
Yeah it would be, but like I said, this was from February, and there has been no change to anything with regards to the car park and entering the park.
Just wondering if Laurence can give us an update on this? Is the Nature Trail going to happen? Is a second station going to be used on the Miniature Railway?

I think this will be put on hold possibly shelved all together. This idea came when no proper rides were planned but now because 2 mabey 3 new rides are in the pipeline they are going to concentrate on a small nature trail.
