After the recent announcement of the takeover of PWH by HIG Capital the manager of the park stated that the car park and queueing facilities will be upgraded with the new investment.
At the moment the infrastructure of the car park and car entrance has been unaltered (I think, correct me if I'm wrong) since the entrance moved to Leisure Way back in the early 90s.
What do you guys think is needed? Personally I think the car park needs resurfacing and those old "are they bus shelters" either removed or changed to just create a cleaner more modern feel to the area.
As with the queueing systems in the park. I'm not quite sure what needs to be done. Most of the queues are adequate even at peak times (well what I have experienced) so I would like to see what they have planned.

The new queue system is most probably something to do with getting into the park, as appose to the acutal rides.
Like Leon said, it would be great to see a turnstile system brought in, with ticket booths further out on the gravel, and a row of turnstiles at the current entrance. Thats wishfull thinking though.
I've taken this from that article from last summer:
A new till and computer system will be installed soon in an effort to make entering the park a more straightforward and streamlined process for visitors and park management.
I really do think this is pointing towards a completely new entrance, using turnstiles etc.
If I am right about that, and this Laser thing ends up being a decent new attraction, I think I'll actually be really pleased with the parks efforts for 2011.
I did hear when i worked there in 2010 that the front entrance is going to get knocked down and revamped into a gift shop and ticket entrances so you visit the gift shop on your way out to make extra revenue. As for the car park it was supposed to be relaid but not as of yet.
Yeah, thanks for that info Markboy, and welcome to the forum!
Sounds like a good idea to me, I hope they do it tastefully though. Ie enter via turnstiles, and exit via the shop, which is full of nice merchandise, not the tacky stuff.
