RE: New for 2011: Laser Labyrinth

^ I think it goes to show that they were intending on changing the image of the park, but personally, I'm still glad CdA took over.

We now have all the perfect foundations for a great park, all we're missing is the rides now...

if anything it would have been best if Cda had it fist. as u said the foundations would be laid and then peter hadden could take over and add tones of great new rides.

yeah im pretty sure it is a pay to play attraction for the laser and it will be walk through not a ride based i believe... and what they mean by works on a seperate timetable is that there is going to be half hour slots which you have to pay for and book if you want too play, not sure if this will be a hit.. you already have go karts and people moan about paying for that but it makes money... hmmm...

Like you, I cant see it being very popular either. And I wouldn't imagine these half hour slots are going to be very cheap. I'm just so disappointed that after 4 years with no new rides, this is all they come up with!

Yes but theirs is an outside fortress - this is an indoor quasar set-up - who is going to stop what they are doing to pay to go laser shooting at a theme park. Its totally arse about face in my opinion!

I agree that it is a pretty poor excuse for a new attraction. And as it's pay to play it won't be a very popular one. Has they started construction yet?

I can see your point, I suppose we'll have to wait and see how it fairs.

Well, there's absolutely no evidence of the Laser Labyrinth at the park at all. No sign of construction or anything...

You can really see the work they've done... :/

Or more importantly the dying tree.

That pic actually sums up the way I see the park at the minute. Random bench. Dead plant. Horrible fence with a gate that does not match. WEEDS.

Aye, there is a lot of tidying up to do. But a bit of planning and it could be sort easily.

Those fences always were everywhere though... The ****ty green and brown ones? They all need updating anyway.

^ Yes, thats my point, they're very dated, and look horrible. The slightest bit of ground movement and it looks like its been erected by a kid. And the worst thing is, they're putting more of it up around the park.

I also noticed that the lake has been fenced off :(

Oh right... I thought you meant they were putting fences everywhere but they weren't those ones :(

I would have thought they would have used new fencing rather than stick with what looks tacky...

Just now got a response about the laser labyrinth on facebook:

Work has started on the Labyrinth, but we're waiting for the actual lasers to be delivered! There was a slight problem with the delivery of the guns and some of the sound equipment so opening has been pushed back a bit.

So it is still going to open - just delayed!

Here's some advice to PWH - send the lasers back, send the guns back. Concentrate on re-theming , I would rather have better theming and no new rides than a frigging laser game!

Agreed. But I can see where they are going with this. A P2P attraction plus another draw for corporate events; it seems they are concentrating quite hard on this side of things.

I suppose its going to do good for the park, then we cant complain really, and its not like its taking up any ride space.

I went to the park today, and I spotted where the entrance to the Labyrinth will be, no one was working, so I took this as a perfect opportunity...
