Having spent this afternoon testing out all aspects of the message board using a test account, I have not yet come across any of the issues previously mentioned to me by other users.
I understand that some users have had problems with creating and editing posts in the past, could those users please let me know if these problems are still happening today.
I have tested out the following functions without issue: Adding a link to a post, adding a photo to a post, creating a new topic, replying to a message, and editing a post after a period of time. If you have issues with any of these functions, please let me know. Also if any other aspect of the message board fails to work properly please let me know.
I will look at other message board options in due course but would like to iron out any issues with the current set up as quickly as possible.
As I've mentioned before, the only problems I have is not being able to edit posts/start new topics. But I'm learning to deal with (with the help of Matt ;))
I dont really know anything about forum types/designs etc, but I do like the look and layout of the Pleasure Island forum: www.discoverthemagic.co.uk/forum
That's what I thought, that would be a neat addition. Small but adds to the forum experience. And yes Martyn whenever I go from Quick Reply and then click Advanced Editor it all ways starts at the bottom of the page which is most annoying!
Oh and also, do we have to have the post time limit? I often will reply to threads in quick succession to find I have to wait to post.

Idk about Activeboard as I have no experience with it, but the free forum software phpBB3 - which is awesome - has a birthday option by default on the homepage.
Josh, the time limit is to protect agains't spam bots, but yes, it is frustrating as it starts the timer again if you click to post too soon. So if its a 20 second delay, and you click to post on 19 seconds, you have to wait 20 seconds again, and so on.
