Doesn't it swing like that anymore? I've not seen in swing in ten years.

Has it come to the end of it's life? Maybe an opportunity to change it for something new later on?

Last years we were told Woody's flying school was to be moved into the kids zone, I was hoping they would do it this year but as they've got nothing to put in it's place I'm assuming this wont happen yet. Such a prime location on the park a really good ride needs to be there.

we were told a couple of years back that pirate was knackered.....

not sure if that is just down to the right parts not being ordered in or simply its age....such a shame as the full height use to be brilliant

Pirate ships are actually quite thrilling when working properly. When I was at PA, I went on their Pirate Ship ride and was amazed at the difference it makes.

But is it the original mini railway? I thought they changed the train once?

They have changed the train, plus they did have 2 at one point too including that lovely looking Amtrak replica. The current train looks tatty, dirty and the carriages are not in great shape either. Plus it can't pull the length it used to.

They need a museum attraction at the hills.

I have always liked the tag line back then. 'Your biggest day out ever!'

That's a great bit bit of collectables PWH history! Weird that someone has kept a carrier bag so mint! I really liked the American theme of PWH, there was something fantastic about feeling like you were getting whisked away to another country, mainly traditional Wild West type stuff. I really loved the Canonball Express; the safety announcers American accent, the faux rocks and remnants of a wild western mine shaft.

^^ yet the cannonball express came in two seasons after the American park was shelved...

I didn't realise the American theme was shelved before CE. I thought it left towards the end if the 90s. Still it was a great escapist atmosphere.

The American theme left when Mr blobby came long did it? But there was still much of the old theme around the place.
I don't really know what the current theme really is, seems to be a mix bag again.

They're phasing out the old nautical theme, and I think they're now going for a nice, basic, well presented park.

Yeah that's all you can really do with a park the size of pleasurewood. They tried to go for the park wide nautical theme but for me that limits what you can do. Then there's the idea of themed areas which is love to see but at the moment the lack if any kind if theme throughout means that wouldn't be doable. So the best thing would be to have a neat tidy park with well themed attractions. Maybe one day they might decide to do a whole area as one theme but it's really not needed at the moment.

The last year the park was branded American was on its tenth season in 1993 - from 1994 family was used - cannonball came in 1995 when Mr Blobby did too
