Last day of the season then, and rubbish weather till about 3pm
Anyhow arrived at the park around 1230 and to my surprise a fair few people there, given the weather.
Not much to report apart from the miniture railway already using its new route, and wooden platform in place for next year. ThunderStruck wasn't working correctly, with the cars not rotating on their arms.... And don't expect Sky Hooks to go anytime soon, they have put a new control booth (shed!) to the side of the ride, moving the controls from the centre.
As darkness desended, the atmosphere built and it was a totally different experience being there in the dark. Wizzy Dizzy, Pirate Ship and Wipeout stayed open until around 1715. Crowds were buying their lantens (they sold out of one type so i'm thinking they had a better then expected day attendence wise...) and gathered in a pitch black main sq.
Then around 1730 the crowd randomly started to move (no build up from any staff, "lets get Stitch" or anything like that.....) towards the lake via Tidalwave. We were gathered between the Castle and ex-Hungey Bears site when Stitch was captured by Uncle Darkbear before the fireworks were set off from the old Dinosaur site. A very good display as far as i'm concerned.

Random photos, varying quality
WizzyFireBallDizzy, note the orignial backdrop added back on to the top of the blue:
Stitch who also spent time hiding in the miniture railway tunnels, scaring people as the train came past!:
Pirate Ship had full loads late on, great atmosphere, and lit up too:
One random firework shot, display lasted a far while:
Heres to 2011 and PLEASE at least ONE new ride.
