Dinosaur Adventure Park

It's a bit late, but this is my report on a visit to the Dinosaur Adventure Park a couple of weeks ago... Myself and my partner are in our mid twenties, so not really the target audience for the park, but the 10 year old we took with us definitely is. Overall we had a reasonable day at the park but a few things let the place down.

We arrived around midday and went for lunch first at the restaurant next to the entrance. We all went for the Jurassic Burger (It had to be, really!). The portion sizes were quite generous but we all thought - even the 10 year old - that the meat in the burger was possibly of the poorest quality we had ever tasted. Not really the greatest start to the day, but thankfully things improved.

Once we had eaten, we headed out with our map and stamp collecting booklet in hand. First stop was the pedal go-karts. One for the little ones this, but was "well fun" apparently.

Then it was on to what I imagined would be the bulk of the day, the dinosaur walkthrough. This was actually quite short and we'd walked through and had a good look around in less than half an hour. Aside from the odd sound effect, there was not much of an atmosphere inside here. Some of the dinosaurs could do with a new lick of paint but most were in fairly good condition. I really think more needs to be done with this section as it seems quite outdated now. It needs some more effects, sounds etc!

Next we bought tickets for the deer safari. Good fun, and a nice opportunity to get quite close to the the deer. Shame it wasn't included in the gate price though.

After this, we took a walk around the farm area to see the animals. There was a good variety here, and the chance to cuddle some of the smaller animals in the petting area was well received by the little ones.

After a quick sit down and an ice cream it was time to take on the assault course together. Good fun and something all the family can get involved with. We then all took a walk through the maze which was also good fun and gave us a chance to play the drums half way through.

Our final task was to find the only remaining stamp to complete the set in the booklet we received at the start. This took some doing, but we finally tracked it down and claimed out medal in the gift shop.

So all in all, a mixed day with some good activities and some which left a little to be desired. If they sort out the food to the level Pleasurewood Hills has managed to reach, and make more of the main section of the park - the dinosaurs - it could be much better value for money.

i went there a couple of months ago and found that the dinosaurs seemed to go rather quick, and that it seamed more of a zoo than anything else, the value for money was quite bad but all in all an enjoyable day.

Was looking at the big 3 ticket which is Banham, this and Africa Alive. It is £30 a pop for an adult and they are valid once for all year which is good. Adult entry at Kessingland is 5p cheaper than PWH so we decided not to go....that is a lot

£18 entry to Africa Alive. Its only a tenner to get in if you buy the big 3 ticket yet by the time you have paid fuel to get to Banham and Lenwade it cancels itself out really.

£18 isn't that much for a zoo!

Its about £15 for the Sea Life Centra at Yarmouth, and I know where I'd rather go!
