They have some great used rides on their, like an S&S Space Shot, Inverted Boomerang, Topple Tower and Schwarzy loopers! All of which would do wonders for our little park!
I'd love to own a park and just go on sites like that and buy some rides!
Nice find there, Martyn. Heck, they even had a B&M for sale - now that would have been just fantastic. I'd remove the Tidalwave, and put it along all of that land there (even though noise issues would probably prevent such a thing).
Nice to see some action on this site again! Hi Jools- havn't seen you post on here for ages!
These rides look quite good, I think Pleasurewood could easily invest in some of the smaller ones- as they did say no major attractions this year, that doesn't rule out any new ones.

Lol, but with the selectiong we currently have, and how long its been since a new ride, anything is major to me!
I am very surprised that we dont have any smaller coasters, like the Wacky Worms or Go-Gators, because even our smallest coaster (Rattlesnake) is relatively thrilling even for adults. There's no tiny coasters for the kiddies to enjoy.
I've always thought the area around the Tidal Wave would make a perfect kiddies area. That field behind the slides is so big and bare.
Yeah they could put a larger ride there, but planning permission for it would be very very hard to get, so why not make the most of it and fill with small rides. Give it a 'Toyland' theme or something similar.
Leon, that first link you posted would be horrific for the park. Thats Huss' version of the S&S Space Shot (Bounce @ Oakwood), and trust me on this, they're crap..
I was on the internet when i came across a ride to replace tidal wave. it was €500,000 and it was a small water coaster with 4 drops 2 dry 2 wet it would be great to see something to fill up that field next to tidalwave.
Leon, they're not rough at all, they just crap! The drops and shots are very slow and forceless, they are actually aimed at families with a height restriction of only 1.2m.
And that Water Coaster is a very tacky travelling ride, something Pleasurewood were aiming to aviod.

This ride has just appeared on their website. I wondered whether it was the original 'Tempest' ride that once had it's mainstay where that open area of grass (near Wipeout) is.
Looks like a good aweful ride, but I never rode it as I was too young. Thoughts people?

It's certainly the right model! It was actually situated for many years on the area now occupied by the Dodgems. I don't think it ever moved from that spot.
The ride was a favourite of mine from my younger days - and if you check out the "Bring it Back" page in the history section of Unofficial Pleasurewood, you'll see that it was incredibly popular with other people too.
It was very tall and provided a totally different experience than the old Sky Screamers did. The restraints were not the over the shoulder types you would expect, but instead they were simply padded lap bars. For me this added to the thrill.
I would personally love to see it come back. However, the fact that its design has a temporary, fairground feel to it would pretty much rule out a return in its current state.
Of all the past rides that have come and gone though, the Tempest and the tilting waveswinger are the real gems from Pleasurewoods past for me.

Ahh, another opportunity to plug the history section of Unofficial Pleasurewood, I like it! Check out the "Pleasurewood Hills from day one" page where this is discussed further. The website that the links point to seems to be down at the minute though unfortunately.

There's a lot of old Pleasurewood rides at Loudoun Castle, including the Milk Churn!
Of all the past rides that have come and gone though, the Tempest and the tilting waveswinger are the real gems from Pleasurewoods past for me.
Yes, them and the large Carousel that used to sit where Thunderstruck is. Oh and the old Trioka (Tri Star), that was actually a permanent model, which used to be next to the Chairlift where the KiteFlyer is.
The old Fort Fun was awsome too, along with the large Funhouse.
