Your ideas for the future?

Unfortunately no plans for a bigger tower. I am more conscious of the fact that we need to complete the current theming to Jolly Roger.

TOTC will never incorporate the Fairytale Fantasy props or theme. But rest assured everything currently has been stored and not thrown.

A bigger drop tower could still be on the cards, hence the current one has been dumped on the park.
TOTC would made an ideal fariytale Fantasy ride, imaging the lush landscapes inside and sets/props. It would work like the original having individual cases for each character, it would need to be all in one.

Although id rarther see something else done with the boat ride, something new and fresh. I liked the idea of shoving the Story book puppets in a little walk round bit.

PWHSocial: Telling it how it is since 2013!

Does that mean JR is on the 'to do' list? It's such a great ride we would love to see it "done proper like".

With a little soundtrack on it, and at the top counting down from 10 to drop and then droping before it finishes counting.

That or leave an undetermined gap between the countdown finishing and the car dropping. Nice idea Little Matt.

plus it needs relocating.
Anyway it's good to know it's here to stay, we can forget about the possibility of a tall one and the whole planning issue.
End of, Rodger keeps his Jolly up.. lol.

Wouldn't it be a cool idea to turn Hobs pit into a Fairytale fantasy storybook ride? Wow.. remember that, they should bring that back, brings back childhood memories :D

It doesn't need relocating, the whole area around it is pirate themed and as I have said before the view of it and Enigma from the car park looks fantastic.

Well that's your opinion,
I think it needs moving to somewhere more central, like the side of the TOTC as I've said before.
And you'll still be able to see it from the car park, and every other position in the park, it's still 'pirate theme' around their too.

Enigma's view may be long gone if they stick a roof over it.

I think Jolly is in the perfect place really... Enigma's two sides frame it perfectly and it fits well down in that corner of the park. That side of the park is more thrill-based and it would be a bit odd to have it so close to the smaller Lighthouse drop tower really...

Equally, it is that spot which was in the planning application for the taller tower. The park probably cannot move it anyway (even though it is a lower tower)

^ You'r right there, the permission was granted for that location (even though the tower is smaller - but they did make an amendment...), so if they wanted to move it, they'd need to seek permission.

So happy the park has made the 30 years mark, very impressive, it's come a very long way since the first visit I remember in 96! Loving the new park map, however something major needs to be done in the top left corner, the park is screaming for another coaster, any plans to put something in that large space behind Wave Breaker?

^^ unlikey due to nearby housing but a small flat or kids ride would fill it up as would one of these for the Hungry Bears site...

Why don't they move the Wave Breaker further back and out something in front out it?
Other wise anything behind it would be a bit hidden.

I would like to see Wave Breaker given a lick of paint. Galvanised steel is so ugly, makes it look like a tatty water slide at a council swimming pool! Whereas other similar rides at Thorpe and Crealy look the part due to a bit of theming.

As a rule you don't paint galvanised steel, paint wont hold on to it.
There are certain primers that will do the job but theses are quiet expensive.. it's all about cost.

I just came across this news story and don't remember seeing it before now. Has this been posted on here before? www.edp24.co.uk/business/pleasurewood_hills_overhaul_targets_brighter_future_after_coming_close_to_closure_1_2347102

The most interesting statement is from Alexis Camelin: “We will be investing again this winter, and we are preparing for a bigger project in two year’s time.” Has a big project in 2 years time been mentioned before?

Yes I seem to remember this story. I think Ben mentioned that this winter would not see a major new attraction but we would see investment certainly. So another major ride for 2015 :)

I that's good but what about a renewal price/saving? Or is there one already?

Just as a little bit of a dream, and maybe not too much of a far out dream, I was thinking about the type of coaster that could one day replace SITG, surely that thing can't go on forever? Can it?

Anyway CF posted up this wonderful looking Zierer family coaster called Force One - it's a A much bigger coaster and for a bit older kids I would say but I think it looks great:

I'd love to see something like this at the Hills one day.

Nice amount of small/medium sized wooden coasters opening up in Europe at the moment. Tayto park in Ireland, Polpsaland in Belgium and now a small Walibi park in France.

The Gravity Group seem to specialise in smaller wooden coasters..... would be amazing PWH, c'mon! Just think of the publicity if PWH got England's first modern day woody!

Yeah if they dump those go-karts they'd have the room... but other wise I can't see any place for a 5th coaster, unless you an squeeze one in the castle.

Which enterprise are you referring to? The new Zamperla model? Or is there a new Huss?

No the new Huss model.

There was talk of it going to Alton yet as they are phasing out their flat rides yet its unlikely as they also put a new wheel on the existing enterprise as the smiler opened.
