Daily Mail News Item on Mr Blobby Theme Park

Blobby Blobby Blobby

Article on Mr Blobby theme park in Somerset with pictures of it now in all it's decrepit glory.

This quote annoyed me though:

"Noel's House Party host Noel Edmonds licensed three Blobby-inspired theme parks at the peak of the chubby character's popularity.

The Crinkly Bottom theme park in Morecambe, Lancashire, closed just 13 weeks after it was opened in 1994, while another in Lowestoft was also closed after the character's popularity faded."

I wish they would just get their facts straight on stuff like this!

It's a shame that they seem like they cant be bothered to name the park epically as Pleasurewood Hills is becoming more prominent... smile

Well, they won't name it which is good because the information is completely made up anyway! It is saying that PH was closed but as we all know Noel and Blobby endorsed the park for a couple of seasons circa 1996 - this included a Blobby stage show in the Castle Theatre and Noel and Blobby advertising.

Anyone reading that would who knows that Pleasurewood Hills was the theme park would assume that it was closed which is not good publicity for the park.

Its not worth the hassle.

For me, the Noel & Blobby era were the best for the park. They improved it so much and it was a massive hit here in the east, there's no way it failed.
