Wow! The Tide traveler reminded untouched on Saturday now it looks like that. There must be some big plans for next season Hyper Drive is definitely on its way out, I do expect it to stay open for the remaining of the season though

can we get rid of that pony trail as well? it's probably the second worse thing on the park.

it's not only the most boring ride on the park, but it's so poorly themed, would be good if the track in a hedge maze, trellis over the top with lost of flowers and plants. if of a garden wonderland.. but sadly it's all baron and empty.

Even the Vintage cars need themeing, a few silly plastic animals isn't enough.

Nice photo of the pirate ship when it was actually a ride rather than a park swing for babies on many Lowestoft Facebook groups this morning. Pic also shows the mini golf course, looks such a nice picture

Lots of bad comments from a lowestoft facebook group, I read the first few then gave up. This will always be their accilyes heal the immediate catchment area. Some 40 odd comments so far and I didnt see any good stuff. Most recommending pleasure beach yarm or pettits instead

That's because the woman was asking if the park was suitable to take *just* take 2 and a 5 year old.. and while there are plenty of kids rides it would be a bit expensive to go JUST for a 2 and 5 year old.. hence people suggesting Joyland. If the kids were 8+ then sure the hills would be perfect, or if a varied age group were going. But to just take a 2 and a 5 year old i agree wouldn't be worth it.

Yes, yet it gives people the chance to jump on the bandwagon as with any social media post for anything

Matt it was one of the closed groups Lowestoft one hell of a town or the good the bad and the ugly and there is a third too. Quite often the stories are shared across all three

I wonder if there is a good reason that the remains of TTT are being removed now...? I mean, the park is now open 7 days a week. Wouldn't it make more sense to leave it until september, or even this coming winter?

Unless of course there are plans to bring in a replacement over the summer....

I’m struggling to understand that, maybe it’s related to the announcement

It's definitely a recent picture. Up until recently it all looked normal. Now all the remaining flooring attached to the arm has come up along with some fence panels removed.

Also all the gondolas have recently resurfaced and can be seen by Cannonball from the car park.

Apparently it's due to all be gone by Wednesday.

Anyone else feel that the park is really stuck in limbo at the moment?

Let's say they do get a new flat ride to replace TTT. Is that really enough to win back the locals?

Go back to 2014... are we really any better off since then? Yes the improvements this year have been great, but it's nothing 'new'. Leaving something to rot, and then sprucing it up isn't what I call a step forward. Same with TTT, being closed for years and then getting a replacement isn't really a step up, is it?

Gaining a big Wavswinger in place of a dark ride and smaller Waveswinger. Not a positive move either in my books.

The biggest improvement the park has made in recent years for me is the addition of music around the park. It really adds to the atmosphere and makes the park feel more lively.

The Castle Theatre refurb, indoor play area and Tony's is all good and a small step in the right direction.

And now the situation with Cannonball is equally frustrating. No doubt Cannonball reopening next year will be the 'new for 2020' attraction. Again, not a step forward for the park reopening a ride that has been closed.

Agree on all points, locals will not return - there is no reason too.

We basically have a graveyard of rides as I said in earlier post 3 are SBNO if you add pirate ship and fireball to these as these are no longer rides they are a total embarrassment to the park and for new guests - what are you really left with ? A drop tower, mouse and how much longer has wipeout got ?

Tony's didn't do what is was supposed to do and what was the castle refurb for ? its not even used ?

The music was a good move yes, Wi-Fi too would be a welcome addition

We really need many more flat rides as a start at a bare minimum and yes I know I am a broken record yet rides will bring people in

I'd just like to add, compared to a year ago, the park is practically unrecognisable with the work that they've done to the bottom end of the park. Its changed the entire image of the park.

And then you also think that TTT is now being pulled out as well, that's the two SBNO rides all sorted in the space of 6 months.

If this is all down to the new park manager, then PWH could well have a bright future ahead.

It's just a shame that Cannonball is how it is right now.
