We now know that TOTC is getting some TLC this season. What do you think the park will do?
Just general improvements or new ride system or re-paint or complete re design?
Any thoughts? I like this ride and i think it adds a lot to the park. It could have that disney magic factor!

I'd like to see more boats in operation. 3 just isn't enough considering how slow the water flows.

And I dont think anyone would care in the slightest if TOTC was closed all year, it's an awful, boring ride. Stick a sign up saying it's closed for redevelopement etc and no one will care in the slightest.

Yeah Liam said that investment to fix a few things would be money wasted which I totally agree with. So there's no investment in it this season. He said if something happens in the future with the ride it would either be a proper retheme like with Hobs Pit or a new attraction all together. He made a lot if sense.

They should do an Alton Towers and have a few fires in the old attractions that need attention :/

No way! Dark rides are hard to come by in the UK and if they can refurb it to the standard of Hobs Pit, then we'd have 2 decent dark rides in one small park!

It true, either do it all or not bother. Doing bits and bobs is all right when keeping on top of it, repairing as and when but the state that some of theses rides are in it's not worth it now. Would be a shame to remove the boat ride. it just needs a new theme/make over inside. Something high quality like Hobs but family fun.

But as it was pointed out before, gotta be careful about getting 'TTT syndrome' doing up what seems to be a ride on it's last legs.. unless it's all better now.

TTT is different though, its a very old ride, and the manufacturer isn't around anymore. And besides, the ride system on TotC is fine, its the theme that needs sorting.

Who made what? The boats? The trough? The tunnel?

It's not really a ride as such, is it?

I think its worth salavaging and could be a decent asset to the park. Its got a poor reputation as negelected rides do but with imagination it could be great. I guess all this would be very expensive though....!!!

I don't know as I didn't get the chance to watch it. But from what I remember people saying, the new park manager said little investments in attractions like TotC aren't worth it, until they have the funds to do a complete refurb. He also said he doesn't like social media sites and discussion forums.

Didn't he say something about Enigma being fixed up an 'internet rumour' ?

I hope he ignores his personal preferences and understands visitors/guests do like social media and forums and if he wants the park to grow his going to have to warm up to theses things. Although he doesn't have to do any of that himself, but it's a huge part of promotion and marketing.. connecting with your potential clients is essential theses days.

If he's just gonna sit back and check the cash flow then thats not going to positively impact on the park. What the park needs is what Ben did so well. Developing an image and selling that image by building relationships with loyal customers. Also the park must embrace the coaster community or themepark community if wants to endure.

Not liking social media sites seems incredibly short sighted and ignorant to me. Thats where the customer spends most of its time - why not buy into that!?

True a complete overhaul is what TOTC needs and deserves i think. I guess that wont happen any time soon and as for ENIGMA ........?????

There really is

But behind the scenes stuff isn't going to do this seasons attendance figures any good, is it? There has been absolutely no build up for the new coaster at all. It's going to open soon and no body's going to know what it is.

Absolutely, things going on behind the scenes is great it really is, but doesn't equate to people through the gate, and I just don't think these new upgrades and additions are being sold well enough or widely enough

Totally agree !

The park needs to start acting nationally or even globally rather than behaving like the big brother of the Pleasure Beach!

Here's hoping people are taking heed!!

This ride should just be closed. Absolutely NOTHING works inside, no doors move, no animatronics. The sound suddenly cuts over every couple of mins, leaving plenty of awkward silent moments where nothing happens.... it such a mess!
