Id rather they focus on getting another car on the track than bother with TOTC, which seems pointless unless you're going to a complete make over.

I do agree but we don't know exactly what's in store for TOTC.

I agree. Either spend loads on a complete refurb or just close it temporarily. No one would miss it. I'm guessing the whole cannonball express project just got delayed by a year?

In my opinion, I dont think the park should spend any money on Enigma. They should either scrap it, or sell to a travelling showman. And with the money they were going to spend, they should purchase one of these:

The crater would need to be widened a little, but nothing major. They come with the same mine train themed trains that Enigma has, so it could be labelled as the "All new Cannonball Express".

Rattlesnake and Enigma are too similar, no need for both of them IMO.

Wouldn't it make more sense to then get rid of SITG as it's so old and has gotta be nearing its end?

It appears to be in a better mechanical state than Enigma...

Most of Snakes issues are cosmetic, although to do worry about the structure under the tunnel. most of it sits under water, we had to dig a few trenches to drain it away. It just needs a good cleaning up.

But that photo looks awesome, looks much better then Enigma.
Just a pity we're getting the mouse instead, and not something a bit more unique.

But I would disagree Enigma and the snake are nothing alike.

Yeah, they are two completely different coasters and Enigma is the better of the two for me. I really wanna see it themed again.

I want Enigma to just get finished. Get the 2nd train, get a repaint and a real theme and be finished.

It's an utter state right now and looks dire. Plus the throughput is appalling. It could be something so much better considering it is totally unique!

Me too. It's annoying because they started the project with the planned refurbishments of the lift-hill etc and have left it half done whilst then starting on new projects like TOTC. I know TOTC is also in desperate need if attention. It would have been nice to start a proper retheme of TOTC next season rather than what I assume will be a touch up at this time.

Didn't Enigma/express use to have three cars on track?
Such a cool little coaster, and it was nicely themed many many years ago, if they're not carful it'll end up like the snake.

All well and good promoting the park as four coasters, but the snake appears to be on it's last legs and look horrible, Enigma might get a handful of people round if your lucky, wipeout always breaks down and the Mouse isn't anything special.

lol

think we use to have 4 maybe a fifth in its first season or two. One now is just totally embarrasing - waiting 45 minutes odd like i did last year is madness

Obviously they're not the same, but they are in terms of both being family coasters.

I was watching some YouTube clips and there was one where a group of teenage girls went to the park and they really really found snake in the grass a fun and exciting coaster by the sounds of their reactions so people still like it. It just looks appalling and needs to be sorted out if they are going to keep it.

Snake has always been popular, even back in the ladybird days it was a hit, I wouldn't want it to do, nice to have an old classic on park.
Just about anyone can ride it, it's not too scary for young kids, it's not intimidating either, many older visitors love it (like my mum for example, she wont ride any of the others)

And theses always something run in riding with load of other people, Enigma only takes six people per car doesn't it?

No sure if Enigma needs 4 of 5 cars theses days, but at least 3 for those busy days.

There's no chance of 3 unfortunately. I think at least two cars were cannibalised for other parts and there is maybe only one other they can get operational (going by what people have said before)

Two would be nice though, at least we could have a train being loaded whilst one completes the circuit!

I suppose getting a 3rd made would cost a few pennies.

Just a few ;) it's such a shame that it won't get a second car this season. It desperately needs it more than TOTC needs a spruce up.

Gerst (the spiritual successors of Schwarzkopf) have been doing work on old Schwarz rides in recent years, so a brand new train isn't beyond doing but it wouldn't be cheap by any means.

As long as it gets a 2nd one, I guess a 3rd is a bit unrealistic at this point.

Still have fond memoires of when the Express was first introduced, remember queuing right up where Jolly is, but with the extra cars on track you soon got your turn.

A second train will not be on Enigma this season guys - really sorry. The truth is, the new coaster has taken priority on the budget and Enigma will have to wait just a while longer. Minimal cosmetic works will be carried out. :)

Can I ask what happened to Enigma's trains? When it opened as The Cannonball Express It had 6 trains, though 2 always seemed to be on a sidetrack and I assume they were spares.

Which begs the question, where are the other 5 now?

Hi Guitar, Cannonball Express only ever had a maximum of 4 trains, and the other 3 have all been butchered for parts, though I believe one is still in a repairable state.
