The lovely people at Pleasurewood Hills have kindly provided Unofficial Pleasurewood with a selection of photographs showing the refurbishment works carried out on the Rootin Tootin Target Trail, with plenty of close-up shots for you to peruse. Thanks guys!

Not quite, but it was a massive challenge to finish in the time we had. We were partly to blame for putting pressure on ourselves as we had originally said that we wouldn't be able to scenically paint 'all' of the black walls and those we did would have to be fairly simple artwork........ eh, we got a bit carried away....... but glad we did as I wouldn't have been happy with the result if we hadn't! (Close to 100 linear metres of black walls plus the existing theming, queue line, station & ride facade).........and relax........

Must admit the atmosphere in the ride is great. Your work on the painting is incredible. Only one thing lets the ride down and that is the lack of reward when shooting targets (i.e. Animatronics etc etc). But from artwork perspective - it's spot on!

is ashame about lack of moving parts but then there's less to break down. But it's a ride they can continue to improve and work on.. but the same was said with Hobs and look how that turned out.

We'll have to see how things go. just a pity they didn't do with with TOTC instead, although id like to see something like this a dark ride of sorts in the castle but that's a pipe dream

I can understand the comments on moving parts but like Bubbles has said (and I've said before) there is a lot of scope for adding effects (and up to 24 extra targets) in the future. The main issue will always be the initial cost for programmable animatronics and the long term up keep of them.

We were actually approached to quote for a TOTC revamp and the park really liked what we came up with (a mixture of an idea they already had with lots more of our ideas too). Sadly, the company that owns PWH decided not to invest and ran the ride for one last season before flattening it.

Yes I remember them asking for ideas about TOTC. Are you able to let us know what the plan was for it?
