27/04/17 - Pleasurewood Hills posts a loss

News story from The Lowestoft Journal:

Pleasurewood Hills, near Lowestoft, fell to a £489,612 loss for the 12 months to September 30, reported in its latest accounts filed at Companies House. This was down from a £40,000 profit in 2015. Turnover increased slightly, up to £3.08m from £3m, and director Laurent Bruloy said he considered the performance to be satisfactory.

In his strategic report Mr Bruloy said competition from other tourism attractions was the main risk to the business and added the firm would continue to develop new rides to keep visitors coming back.

He said: “A combination of large and small rides and shows for the family, supported by retail, catering and a games offering, will continue to be the basis for the development of the business.”

The year saw an increase in investment to £619,254 from £217,661 the previous year.

Is that extra cost down to the deconstruction of Takes of the Coast?
