RE: 2017

Check out this selection of screen shots from a recent vlog at Pleasurewood Hills. The photos show the changes on Main Street, shiny new pedal boats and the new around-the-world photo stops which have popped up around the park recently.

Thanks to Martyn for the Screen Shots and credit also to Coaster Crazy.

That food outlet is very bright! Shame to see SITG in that state.

Looking nice and colourful. Looks like they might have made that chip shop in main street a bit bigger

Yeah the improvements to main St look really good!

And the play area and food outlet down by Snake look good too, just a shame the dodgems look the worst they ever have. Andy said in his vlog that they look like they just got them out of a skip..

What's the random luggage things all about? Obviously ties in with the random countries on them photo board things? Nice little improvements, but Snake and the Dodgems make really are bringing the park down.

Main Street was re-done last year and looks great! Love the shark.

Only just noticed on that pic of the Merry Mariner there's actually a sign in the window saying about the Play Area!

And whilst we're on the subject of signs, I must say they do all look really good! There's obviously a new brand they're going for and so far it looks really nice.

Birthday Barn is open! Thankfully it's nothing to do with the new indoor play area.

There's a picture on Facebook.... is that mirrored picture because I don't ever remember there being a building like by the queue line to the miniature railway?

Looks good, but barn theme doesn't suit the park, but i'm still gonna book my birthday there this summer..

The official PWH Facebook has shared the attached photo of Woody Bears new wheels for this season.

If you look closely, the words 'New ride for 2017'' appear to be printed on the side. It's slightly opscured by the flash spot, but I can't think of anything else that it could say...

So what are people hoping for? A family ride, a big thrill, something for the little ones?

yes i saw that at 5am this mornig and had thought my eyes were missing something. I should think it would be a medium thrill ride and go into where the play area was, or perhaps the dive show yet that is unlikely i would say as the area for that is still intact

I still say they need a kiddy coaster... even more so now Rattlesnake has kicked the bucket!

This is a good move, this guy in charge clearly knows how to get things done, I just hope this isn't a travelling ride.

I doubt it's anything to get excited about. if it was they'ed be using it to promote the park.. why keep it a secret?
Either it's a miss print or it's little kiddie ride. Anything better or bigger would have been part of the marketing by now.
My guess anyway.

I still hate theses new, unimaginative Woody cars. No character, not style it looks like a taxi. lol

I also think that Woody looks more like he should be eating a bowl of coco pops.....

Definitely not a misprint. There's a family ride going in place of an existing ride (and not where the rattlesnake was)

So something else is being removed?! :(

This is getting interesting now... fingers crossed that it's just one of the 2 sets of dodgems on the way out. There are not a great number of other rides that the park can afford to lose without upsetting the overall 'balance' of attractions.

It amuses me that the thematic painting on Main Street is better than Alton Towers manage in Splash Landings :P

Good to see the park looking good though and good that we'll be seeing something new. Shame though that it involves removing something else... we need more attractions not less!

Nothing is being removed- merely changed and renovated. A great local theming company are involved with the renovation. #saidtoomuchalready

Can't be one of the dodgems, the old ones were seen in one of those photos not long ago.

I would hope it's TTT. it's the only 'family' ride that needed serious renovating. But then would that require a theming company? to me that maybe pointed towards the castle or Hobs pit. Maybe Hobs has been downgraded?

An interesting thought Josh.

Bringing the Castle Theatre back into proper use has surely got to be high on the agenda. Although, I did see someone on Facebook discussing the Castle Theatre being used for this years Christmas Spectacular. They spoke as though they had some specific information?! No official confirmation of that though, so could just be speculation.

2017 + That NEW ride

Absolutely not speculation on castle- they've already confirmed they're refurbishing the abandoned castle and are putting on a Christmas show in there this December. But this is nothing to do with the new ride, it's in addition to.

Where are these clues?

In brief, this is what we know so far:

  • The park will soon be opening a new family ride.
  • It won't be replacing or positioned where Rattlesnake was.
  • It will not be situated inside the Castle Theatre.
  • The new ride will replace something that already exists at the park. However, nothing is being removed.
  • The existing attraction will be ''changed and renovated by a local company''.
