RE: 2017

But her version of events was so convincing!

Sounds like a typical insufferable idiot exaggerating to get attention to me. Did her claim regarding the staff being rude hold any truth?

I'm half tempted to copy and paste what Ronnie has said on to her post.... XD

for the first time in years yesterday on the 32nd annual convoy the trucks actually blew the horns at the Tesco leisure way roundabout... I did not see any signs out this year in this strip to say don't horn... there was one at the hopton petrol roundabout to say ok to horn heading away from hopton towards gorleston

The park also did facebook live as they arrived and left. 80 trucks this year

New vlog of the park from shawn at theme park worldwide. He really liked the improvements and it looked like a busy day for pleasurewood which is good. Check it out youtu.be/_UqDkJw0xwg

Seen some complaints on Facebook saying about the park closing whilst the kids were still off... seems odd.

the park was closed yes and for its immediate catchment area the schools started back on the wednesday, thursday and madly some friday.

Can see both sides of the argument yet its nothing new.

People have had over a month of decent weather to go and yet they complain that they can't go at the end of the holiday? Find something more worthwhile to complain about please. It's not like they don't advertise opening dates.

i wonder how many of people would have gone had it been open anyway?

I reckon 85% of the staff are at college or university, so you couldn't open the park!

The park confirmed before summer that the play area was due to open in September!

I wonder if the refurb of the Castle Theatre got behind schedule, so the focus remained on that?

They have a Christmas show in there so it's got to be done. They have no other place than the Castle now for a show as the Palladium has been converted into a bar!

Been confirmed on Facebook that the Christmas event is purely just the show in the Castle Theatre.

I'm going to assume that the indoor play area has been dropped?

Interesting article on the Castle refurb. Improvements to the entrance, and a new bar and toilets are being added, and there's also another mention for the indoor play area.

http://pleasurewoodhills.com/rides-out-of-action/

A ride status page has been added to their website, it's a good idea in my opinion, but needs a couple of tweaks:

- a date or "eta" for when the ride is expected to reopen.

- they shouldn't say it's closed for safety reasons, technical or maintenance are the only words they should be using IMO.

And I hope it's updated regularly!

Gives the Tide traveller it's own web page.. .lol

I think listing rides as safety, technical or maintenance seems ok to me. Other wise what do they put?
But having a web site for it makes we wonder if they're expecting lots and frequent **** downs next year, maybe certain rides will be open certain days as a new cost cutting experiment.. i hope not.

I just don't think "closed for safety reasons" is good wording, many people (idiots) were read that as the ride is unsafe. Where as "closed for technical reasons" sounds a lot more subtle IMO.

Well maybe but we all know what it means however they dress it, most people prefer to know what's going on and honestly. Knowing that a ride is being made safe might increase customer confidence. especially those who are frustrated that a ride hasn't opened.

So someone on Facebook has asked PWH if there will be any rides open for the Christmas event, the answer unfortunately is no, but one thing they did say that is open is "Tony's Pizza and Pasta restaurant"....say what, who, where and when? Where on earth could this be?!

I can't imagine it's another rebrand for Smokey Joe's, as that's too far away from the Castle.... what about a pop up restaurant just for this event maybe?

Oh and there's also going to be an ice rink!
