21/09/16 - Pleasurewood Chills is back for 2016

The popular Halloween event is returning to Pleasurewood Hills this October half term. Pleasurewood Chills will feature the return of a number of popular attractions, alongside some which are new for this season.

Hobs Pit X-Scream will be back, with the already-spooky attraction introducing some extra scares for the Halloween period. A brand new live show called Woody’s Spooktacular will feature inside the Palladium theatre. Plus there will be plenty of fun, family-friendly, activities to enjoy including pumpkin carving and monster mask making.

Hopefully they won't close everything at 4 again, I want another 15 minute night ride on fireball.....

Didn't someone say JR was operating in the dark last year? That would be good, even if they only did it for Halloween it's self.

They could open the gates later and stay open later... 11 to 5 or something.
why do they shut so early?

yes i said jolly was running in the dark last year for a bit, this year the clocks go back the day of the fireworks so it wont be as dark. i think the main reason for closing rides early is due to lighting

Damn, I'll have to go to Thorpe park and spend 50 quid on fast tracks instead.... Never mind, stealth in the dark is worth it.

Last year when I went (few days before Halloween), they literally closed everything at 4 on the clock, some (Wipeout of all things) where closed at 3:30, so I was a bit.... no, very irritated, seeing as they have 10-5 hours in the summer anyway. Might be something to do with noise, wouldn't be surprising. Didn't make it clear online either, although the times where displayed at the gate. They charged separate for the ticket for the mazes as well last year, so maybe they wanted to clear everyone else out who didn't want to bother with the attractions?

Coolskin, did you go on Halloween it's self or before? Would there be more chance of extended ops then?

there are no mazes at pwh this year just the family stuff for the kids.

the rides close usually due to lightning yet as I said this year the clocks go back at the end of the half term so it may be a different kettle of fish.

I went for the fireworks last year yes, and very good they were too. I expect them to be at 5.45pm as usual.

On a seperate note we are off to fright nights and have purchased ultimate fastrack which included all but one of the mazes and most of the rides - unlimited mazes and rides 10am-10pm. And I agree stealth in the dark is amazing

The fireworks display was 15 minutes the same as every other year but they are using a new company. They were brilliantly synced up to the music.

Has been a busy time for theme parks over the half term, I hope this was the case for PWH too!
